Findings

• – The key findings of the study were that,although local companies are familiar with the concept and do, indeed, practise some amount of CSR, they subscribe less to the

contemporary notion of CSR; they are less strategic, less moral andethical in their approach to CSR.

• Thus, internationally-connected

Ghanaian firms seem to have a better grasp of the variousdimensions of CSR and how these

could be used to business andstrategic advantage.

50,000,000 cedis to the Ghana Heart

Foundation. The Foundation is a charity of theCardiothoracic Centre of the country’s majorteaching hospital. The money will be used tosupplement the operation costs of patients

 with heart diseases. Half of the amount was accrued from voluntary monthlydeductions from staff salaries.
