Jen Dent took photographs of my children in the summer of 2009, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. At the time, my children were ages 9, 6, and 2, and not fond of having their pictures taken. I hired Jen to photograph my 1-year-old old son. She welcomed us to the setting with a relaxed and casual approach. She was very patient with my son’s inability to sit still and focus for more than a few seconds. She had the insight to vary the setting multiple times to gain his interest and cooperation. She even took us outside. She never displayed a hint of impatience or frustration.
As for the final product, boy was I amazed. Her application of light on the subject was expertly done. She took the time to provide me with both black & white and color options. She also offered me a specialty print with my son in color but the background in black & white. Her final products are that of an expert in the field of photography.

I’ve had formal portraits done of my twins but I wanted something a little more “down home” and something that would really mean something to them when they get older. Jen and I talked about my ideas ... I have a lot of ideas and she was very enthusiastic and gave great feedback. I chose one of our farms where the children spend a lot of time playing. She caught some amazing pictures and I could see the kids relaxing as it went along. They had a few ideas about what they wanted to do and she incorporated some of them into the session.
The pictures are amazing. I’ve had people stop me at the ballpark to rave about them! On some of them, I wanted a finish that wouldn’t require me to put them under glass. Jen researched and found a place to print them. I got several large pictures (11 x 14 and larger) with the linen finish and, together, they were about the price I’ve paid for one before. I can’t wait to get them framed and get them up on the walls!
