a) Dr.D.Pradhan,Sc-E, DDGM had a meeting on 06.05.14 with Sri A.K. Agarwal, Chief Enginner of AAI at Airport regarding handing over residential accomodation at AMO Kolkata.
b) Dr. D.Pradhan, Sc-E, DDGM had a meeting with Director, Airport Kolkata and other officers of AAI on 06.05.14 regarding installation of AWOS at Kolkata Airport and issuance of NOC for the same.
c) Dr.D.Pradhan, Sc-E, DDGM had a meeting on 23.05.14 with Sri A.K. Ghosh, NMSC Ltd. Regarding ISO Certification of AMO Kolkata at RMC Kolkata at RMC Kolkata on 23.05.14.
d) Dr.D.Pradhan, Sc-E, DDGM had inagurated IMTC batch -4 of newly recuirted SA’s at RMC Training centre, PAC on 26.05.14.
e) Dr.D.Pradhan, Sc-E, DDGM had ameeting with Hon’ble Minster in Charge of Irrigiation and Waterways Department of West Bengal at Jalasampad Bhavan Saltlake on 27.05.14 at 11.30A.M. regarding Flood Prepareedness during the ensuing monsoon.
f) Dr.D.Pradhan, Sc-E, DDGM was on tour to Pune with effect from 27.0514 to 31.05.14 to attend ameeting on 28.05.14 at DDGM(SI) Pune office under the Chairship of Hon’ble DGM regarding maintenance planning of AWS/ARG and to deliver the lecture on DWR products during 29.05.14 to 30.05.14 for Advance training batch.

2) Precipitation:- Collection , Preparation and Dissemination of station wise Daily Rainfall data , Preparation of district wise rainfall data under daily rainfall monitoring scheme (DRMS) of three subdivisions under its control , were sent by FAX / E-mail to :-
a) NHAC ,New Delhi and DGM ( Hydrology ) New Delhi . b) DDGM(WF) Pune, LRF Pune and NCC, Pune and all concerned .
3) District wise weekly and monthly rainfall data were sent by E-mail to :- a) DGM(H) New Delhi , b) ADGM ( R ) Pune , c) Agrimet , Pune and d) DDGM(WF) Pune and all concerned .
Preparation and updating of daily weather report and weekly weather report and its updating in websites in real time basis . Communication :-
a) HPCS server is working satisfactorily. b) WRF model output is being utilized for forecasting point of view .
PPT. ( Rainfall, its Spatial & Intensity) and NOWCAST of scheduled nine stations and its verification and E -mailed to NOWCAST Division , New Delhi and City Forecast of Ten Stations of West Bengal and its dissemination in real time basis.

Weather Reports were sent to various Govt. and NGOs and Private agencies during the month . . Disastrous Weather & Extreme wx. events reports :- were sent to ADGM ( R ) / DDGM ( WF ) Pune and DGM ( NHAC ) New Delhi respectively upto the month of March’ 2014. . 4) Port Met Office: - INCLI Message for May, 2014 been sent to DDGM (Marine) Pune.

● AAS bulletins were sent to Kolkata Doordarshan by AAS Unit, Alipore on regular basis for telecasting the same. ● After downloading forecast of NHAC from ftp site, value added forecast were sent to all AMFUs under RMC Kolkata, and thereafter composite bulletins were prepared after receiving bulletins from AMFUs for each district of the state and sent to DDGM (Agrimet), Pune on real time basis in English version through email for displaying in website (www.imdagrimet.org).\\ ● District wise yield forecast of Boro rice both from Statistical and DSSAT model under FASAL project was forwarde to Pune .

A. FLOOD METEOROLOGY
Daly rainfall data of Ranchi , Jamsedpur, and Daltongunge were sent to NHAC New Delhi by
MC Ranchi
Operational watch hours from 0600 hrs IST to 1800 hrs IST daily. This office issues forecast
daily under guidance of RMC Kolkata based on plotting / analysis of Surface and Upper air
charts and other imageries received through website / DMDD. Weekly and monthly
verification of QPF have been sent to DGM (Hydromet), New Delhi, W.S, Pune and RMC
Kolkata. Flood alert messages have been sent to DGM (Hydromet), New Delhi and RMC
Kolkata.

Weekly Hydromet data in respect of Gangtok & Tadong sent to Agrimet, Pune regularly
during the month of May’ 2014.
Weekly Rainfall Statistics in respect of all four districts of Sikkim sent to Sikkim State Disaster

Doppler weather radar was operated round the clock.
DWR generated raw data at 10 minutes interval was disseminated to central server, New Delhi
DWR observations were disseminated to the respective users on routine basis and uploaded to
IMD New Delhi and RMC kolkata (ACWC) websites at every 10 minutes intervals.
