    Role Conflict

    Role conflict is a conflict among the roles corresponding totwo or more statuses

    Role Conflict Occurs when an individual is required toperform two or more incompatible roles

    Each role has its own set of demands that must be fulfilled

    Fulfilling role demands become difficult as the number ofroles and the number of role demands increase

    Latent conflict

    When two or more parties

    need each other to achievedesired objectives, there is

    potential for conflict.

    Perceived conflict

    This is a stage at which

    members become aware of the

    problem. Incompatibility of

    needs is perceived and tension

    begins as the parties begin to

    worry about what will happen.
