De los tres caminos posibles que el fotógrafo puede elegir para la realización d e l f o t o m o n t a j e , e l c o l l a g e , l a sobreimpresión, o el montaje, Pérez de la Torre se inclina por el primero, utilizando fotografías propias y otras que recorta de diferentes publicaciones y que luego une como solución perfecta de un puzzle mágico del que finalmente surge una obra surrealista, formalmente esteticista pero no desprovista de elementos conceptuales.

Reelaborar buscando un "ordenado desorden"; digitalizar en el más puro sentido antropomórfico; determinar el énfasis de la dialéctica entre la forma y el concepto; expresar además la crítica personal de los referentes sociales, bajo apariencia surrealista....todo eso y puede que mucho más conforma la propuesta que el autor hace en este trabajo fotográfico

Juan Pérez de la Torre nace en Roa (Burgos) en 1927 y reside en Algeciras desde hace 30 años. Posee los títulos AFIAP y EFIAP (artista y excelencia) de la Federat ion Inernat iona le de l 'Ar t Photographique, institución reconocida por la UNESCO.

Ha realizado más de 100 exposiciones individuales y participado en más de mil colectivas en todo el territorio nacional y en varios países de Europa y América. Es socio de honor de la Asociación Fotográfica Cordobesa (AFOCO), de la Real Sociedad Fotográfica de Zaragoza y de la Sociedad Fotográfica de Puerto Real (Cádiz). La Federación Andaluza de Fotografía le nombró Mejor Fotógrafo Andaluz en 1985 y le concedió un diploma por su labor en el desarrollo de su programa cultural en la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza.

Of all three possible ways that the photographer can choose to carry out a photomontage, collage, superimposing, or montage, Perez de la Torre tends towards the first one, using his own images and others that he cuts out from different publications and which he then joins as perfect solution to a magic puzzle from which finally a surrealistic image arises, never lacking conceptual elements.

To reproduce always looking for a " tidy disorder "; to digitalize in the purest anthropomorphic sense; to determine the emphasis of the dialectic between form and concept; to express personal criticism of the social modals as well, under surrealistic appearance .... all this and maybe much more makes up what the artist wants to show in this photographic project.

Juan Pérez de la Torre was born in Roa (Burgos) in 1927 and has lived in Algeciras for the past 30 years. He is in possesion of the AFIAP and EFIAP titles of the i n t e r n a t i o n a l f e d e r a t i o n l ' A r t Photographique, institution acknowledged by the UNESCO.

He has held more than 100 individual exhibitions and participated in more than 1000 collective ones nationally and in various countries of Europe and America. He is a member of honor of The Photographic Society of Córdoba (AFOCO), the Royal Society of Photography of Zaragoza and the Photographic Society of Puerto Real of Cádiz.

The Andalusian Federation of Photography named him the best photographer of Andalusia in 1985 and awarded him a diploma for his work in the development of their cultural programme.
