There are many reasons inviting you to visit and enjoy Algorfa throughout the year. We celebrate our fiestas –including stalls and parades- in July to the honour of the Virgen del Carmen, in April to the honour of San Vicente Ferrer and in August in Lo Crispin and Montebello.

el Paraje de Montemar. Campo de olivos y almendros, huerta de naranjas y limones. Se cuenta con una aula de la natura-leza en la antigua estación de tren.

Muy próxima al núcleo urbano, en lo alto de una pequeña colina, se encuentra la Ermita. Construida a principios del Siglo XX, con piedras de la cantera de la Escotera, es de estilo neogótico. Este edificio es , sin duda, el simbolo más representativo de Algorfa. Anexa a la Ermita, la Casa-Palacio de los antiguos marqueses de Rojas, formando un conjunto monumental de gran interés, hoy propiedad municipal.A principios del mes de Julio, se celebra la Romería de la Virgen del Carmen, de gran tradición y a la que acuden gentes de todos los lugares de la comarca.

Not far from the centre and at the top of a small hill, you can �nd the Ermita. Of a neo-Gothic style, it was built at the beginning of the 20th century using stones of the quarry La Escotera. This building is certainly the most representative symbol of Algorfa. Just next to the Ermita lies the Palace Home of the Marquis and Marquise of Rojas, a monumental ensemble of a great interest nowadays run by the council. The Romería de la Virgen del Carmen, a signi�cant and traditional pilgrimage joined by people from the whole region, takes place in early July every year.

The Castillo de Montemar is a singular castle dating back to the 18th century and quali�ed as a Site of Cultural Interest, though it is privately owned at present. This building is located in the middle of a beautiful landscape, and several urbanizations have been built around it in the last years: Lo Crispin, La Rellana, Montebello and Montemar.

En la Plaza de España, lugar de encuentro de los vecinos de Algorfa, se encuentra el moderno edi�cio del Ayuntamiento, el Centro Social y la Iglesia, de estilo funcional, construida en el año 1963. En el mismo nucleo urbano, se encuentra la Casa de Cultura San Vicente Ferrer, la Biblioteca, la Escuela Infantil, todos ellos edi�cios construidos en los últimos años.

Destacan las modernas y completas instalacio-nes deportivas, que permiten disfrutar de todo tipo deporte durante todo el año : natación , padel, futbol, baloncesto, atletismo,....

At the Plaza de España, a meeting point for all neighbours of Algorfa, you can �nd the Town Hall building, the Social Centre and the Church, a building with a functional style built in the year 1963. The San Vicente Ferrer Cultural Centre, the Library and the Nursery, all of them recently built, are situated at the same centre of the village. Of special interest are also the modern and complete sport facilities, where you can practice all types of sports throughout the year: swimming, paddle tennis, football, basketball, athletics...
