Presentación de contenido: En Inglés se utiliza usualmente el modo imperativo para dar instrucciones y expresar prohibiciones. La forma afirmativa del imperativo es la forma común para las instrucciones (Sit down) y la forma negativa de imperativo para las prohibiciones (Don´t be late). Otra forma también ampliamente utilizada para las prohibiciones es No + participio presente (No smoking), aparte de los verbos prohibit, forbid, allow, permit. Para dar instrucciones se utilizan conectores de orden para indicar una secuencia: First, . . .Then, . . . Next, . . . Lastly.

Email is a wonderful tool for sending and receiving a lot of information quickly and securely.
However, it’s important that your personal information remains secure and safe and that you
aren’t open to viruses or hackers.
Here are some safety tips when using email:
Change your password regularly and keep it in a safe place.
Don’t share your password with anyone.
Don’t open attachments from anyone you don’t know.
Log out or sign off from your account when you’ve finished looking at/sending your
email.
Don’t reply to spam or forward chain emails.
Keep your personal information personal – don’t share bank or credit card information
by email.
Your bank will not discuss your private financial situation by email. If you receive any
correspondence that claims to come from your bank, telephone your branch to verify it
and discuss the matter over the telephone instead.
Make sure that you have antivirus software installed and keep it up to date.

SEMANA 21. EXPRESAR CAPACIDAD, POSIBILIDAD, OBLIGACIÓN Y DEBER.
Actividad de Inicio: Enumera las figuras de acuerdo a lo que escuche.
Presentación del Contenido: Para expresar capacidad, posibilidad, obligación o deber se utilizan básicamente los verbos modales. Los modales son una categoría de verbos auxiliares. Ellos también se llaman modales auxiliares o simplemente modales. Hay diez verbos modales en inglés:

Los modales expresan el modo de un verbo: la capacidad, la posibilidad, la necesidad u otra condición del verbo principal. Estos verbos se usan con verbos principales para formar afirmaciones o preguntas. Los modales no tienen conjugaciones y no tienen sentido sin verbo
principal En inglés, el verbo principal siempre queda en forma infinitiva sin to, excepto el modal ought.
En una afirmación, el orden de las palabras es sujeto + modal + verbo principal.

En preguntas, se utiliza can para solicitar permiso de hacer algo o sea para preguntar sobre una posibilidad.

Must/ Have to / should: Must / have to / should indican obligación.
You must / have to see this movie.Deben / tienen que ver esta película.
Tom must / has to see a doctor immediately.Tom debe / tiene que ver un médico inmediatamente.
El modal Should al igual que must indica una obligación, sin embargo, no como imposición sino más bien como sugerencia. Es muy común en dudas sobre lo que se debería o no hacer en una situación dada

Could: El modal could indica una posibilidad o una capacidad en el pasado o una posibilidad en el futuro.
I could have told you that.Pude haberte dicho eso.
It could have been a disaster.Podría haber sido un desastre.
When I was young, I could run very fast.Cuando era joven, podía correr muy rápidamente.
Could y might se utilizan para especular sobre posibilidades futuras.
It could / might rain tonight.Podría llover esta noche / puede que llueva esta noche.
This could / might be dangerous.Esto podría ser peligroso/ Puede que esto sea peligroso.
En las preguntas de sí o no, could especula sobre unas posibilidades en el presente o el futuro.
Could she be the murderer?¿Podría ser ella la asesina? ¿Puede que ella sea la asesina?
Could this be a mistake?¿Podría ser esto un error? ¿Puede que esto sea un error?
En las preguntas de sí o no, could hace una solicitud cortés. En estos ejemplos, could y can son sinónimos.
Could / Can you open your window?¿Podría / Puede usted abrir su ventana?
Could / Can you help me move this sofa?¿Podría / Puede usted ayudarme a mover este sofá?
Should y ought (to): Los modales should y ought indican una obligación. Should y ought son sinónimos.
You should / ought to call your mother.Deberías / debes llamar a tu mamá.
I should / ought to go home now.Debería / debo irme a casa.
En preguntas, se usa should para saber si existe una obligación. En el inglés americano nunca se usa ought en preguntas.

Actividad de cierre: Ejercicio en grupo. Formarán una cadena de preguntas y respuestas. Una persona formula una pregunta con la información dada. El compañero que está a su derecha, responde la pregunta libremente. Luego, esta misma persona formula una pregunta que será respondida por el compañero de la derecha, y así sucesivamente.
Ejemplo: She/mustn’t throw away the computer

Answer: No, she mustn’t.
