TorqueTrak 10K System. How it works

Binsfeld Engineering Inc., Maple City, MI USAwww.binsfeld.com

• TX10K-S Transmitter energizes Strain Gage• Strain Gage mV signal output amplified (Strain/Torque)• Transmitter receives and digitizes signal from Strain Gage• Transmitter transmits data to RX10K Receiver via RF Carrier• Receiver produces digital and analog signals• System does not create sensor data• Amplifies sensor signal & transmits from Rotating Shaft• Output signal is a true representation of torque/strain by Strain Gage

Troubleshooting Tools & Checks

Binsfeld Engineering Inc., Maple City, MI USAwww.binsfeld.com

• TT10K Signal Drop Out (“Error Indicator Mode”)• Usually very short duration; ~ 1 millisecond• Longer periods might indicate RF interference or loose wire• Can be interrupted by electrical noise or EMI.• Mysterious in nature

• Measures to Minimize Signal Drop Out• Ensure all electrical connections are solid• Shield strain gage (Al tape or foil with insulator)• Reduce Filter setting (can improve data in noisy electrical environment)• Select different Transmitter and Receiver channel• Reposition Receiver Antenna closer• Remove Transmitter Antenna• Spectrum Analyzer. I.D. frequency of RF Wave• Test system using BS900 Bridge Simulator
