Una breve historia del Halloween

The Macho-man takes the place of the Metrosexual

The Macho-men are back, but now they need women.

Goodbye to men who use depilatory creams, manicure, facial creams and wear female’s

clothes and accessories. Two years after the invention of the metrosexual man, it has died, and who is his substitute? The übersexual man.

The creators of the word metrosexuality are Marian Salzman, Ira Matathia and Ann

O’Reilly. It first appeared in the book “The Future of Men”, published in the U.S.A. In German, über means over or super. Far from referring to men’s sexual skills,

übersexual involves the recovery of masculinity, which seemed to have disappeared with

the metrosexual fashion. The description ''über” was chosen because it means the best, the greatest. Übersexuals are the most attractive, most dynamic, and most compelling

men of their generation. They are confident, masculine, stylish, and committed to

uncompromising quality in all areas of life.

Male appearance, style and self-confidence without being hated, are some of the

characteristics of übersexuals. In addition to this, the übersexual should be passionate

about his interests, and recognize that he needs women; a coquette man, without being narcissistic and selfish.

Übersexual men are those who are more in tune with the people around them than with

themselves. They are attractive in a certain way because they deal more on how their

masculinity and their sense of style could enhance their knowledge in life. They are confident enough about themselves and spend less time focusing on grooming to prove

their good look.

David Beckham, Becks, has been one of the leaders of metrosexuality. He led this fashion

with his smooth, elegant, sophisticated appearance. His look changed magazine covers,

by dying his hair. Nowadays, this delicate style seems to have disappeared...And the übersexual has become his strong competitor!
