Conclusiones:

El actual abandono y falta de “voluntad” frente a nuevos proyectos en los

terrenos del ex Cuartel de Puente Alto y la ausencia de protección o cuidadocon el patrimonio ferroviario, por parte de la I. Municipalida de Puente Alto,podrían hacer perder todos las huellas físicas que quedan de su historia, dejandosin vestigios su pasado ferroviario.

La I. Municipalidad de Puente Alto fue consultada la factibilidad del programa(Intermodal) y el terreno (Ex Cuartel Militar), siendo positiva la reacción. Elproyecto de estación intermodal es factible bajo la Normativa y la necesidad deun punto de comunicacion con el metro con facíl acceso vial.

La recuperación de parte de su historia ferroviaria, de su memoria permitirá:

- Recuperar su valor patrimonial, con parte de las cualidades que convirtieron elantiguo cuartel en un lugar de reunión y significado para la comuna.

- La recuperación del valor de uso en el lugar, intentado dar a la comunidad unhito Urbano, un punto de encuentro y sub centro de la comunidad con serviciosy comercios.

- Devolver esta capacidad de trasporte con Santiago / Pirque / el Cajón del Maipoque poseían anteriormente.

Modelo de Gestión

Se plantea a “Rentas Falabella” (actual dueño del sitio) ser inversionistas/constructores, del proyecto Intermodal, de modo de concesionar al Ministeriode Trasporte dicho proyecto. Los cuales arrendarían los andenes, sea a empresas

de Transantiago, a sistemas de trasporte privado.

No solamente recoje el trasporte público, si no además, presta servicio paraactividades privadas comerciales turísticas, deportivas y recreativas.

Además se pueden agregar programas de uso, como son los estacionamientosa particulares, de forma de poder arrendarlos para los habitantes del sector dePirque o Cajón del Maipo.

Grandes locales comerciales pueden ser parte de la misma empresa (Falabella)o otros comercios mayoritarios. Como también las más pequeñas (galerías)pueden ser arrendadas a comerciantes del sector o de destinos del intermodal(paquetes turísticos, venta de productos)

Andén Extendido, LinealUno de los mas conocidos, el característico andén de terminal de buses interurbanos,el cual existe un andén común lineal, donde todos los buses se estacionantransversalmente, es uno de los mas económicos de los andenes, pero necesita al

contrario un gran espacio para los patios de maniobras. Los cuales suelen ser de losmas conflictivos debido a la confusión entre flujos y atochamiento entre los mismosbuses, provocando en ocasiones accidentes.Otro defecto asociado es la calidad de espalda que logra con los terrenos cercanos.
