down the engine if

sufficient lube oil

 pressure is not available

at that notch. So lube oil pressure signal is also

signal proportional to

Advantages over conventionalgovernors

No need to check oil level sincethe governor is fully solid state.

Cranking time is less ascompared to Woodwardgovernor because the rack is

advanced before cranking. Battery life is increased.

Faults can be cleared by Driver

Faults Driver AttentionLoco cranking

but notstarting/firing.

1. MCBG is not powered ON.

2. MU switch in STOP position.

3. 'Press Start Button to CrankEngine' message is not on MCBG

screen.4. 'Lube oil sensor faulty, waiting for

recovery' message is on MCBGscreen.

5. LWS is operated.

6. OSTA tripped and not reset

properly.

7. Fuel Racks do not travel even ifGovernor shaft moves. (Overtravel spring in the base is windup)

8. If Fuel racks is not moving presslinkage to crank the engine.

Faults can be cleared by Driver

Faults Driver Attention

BAP less and poor haulingpower.

Switch on the Boost aircontrol switch in BAP Bypassmode provided on the frontpanel of the control unit.

Erratic engine rpm. Check the Notch inputconnections at Governorterminal block.

Check the connectortightness.

BAP/LOP/FOP/FRP sensorfaulty message on MCBGDisplay.

Check the connectorstightness at MCBG Controlunit & Actuator unit.

DRIVERS INSTRUCTION 

When Engine got shutting down due to any reason:

Note down the fault message and record inrepair book.

Press acknowledge push button available on

front panel of control unit to clear the faultmessages.

Ensure the following message appears onDisplay before pressing start button.

“Press Start Button to Crank Engine” 

0r “Engine Shut Down. Press, START Button to Crank

Engine” 

Then crank the Loco.

In case of LOP sensor faulty loco willnot crank.

BAP,FOP & FRP sensor failure locowill crank normally.

A message will be display aftermechanical OSTA trip “Move fuel racklinkage manually to free them.
