visitors can bathe in health-giving waters
and go home in a state of complete wellbe-
ing. A land, Galicia, home to the beautiful
R a de Arousa tidal inlet, whose infinite
possibilities are just waiting to be discovered.
La Toja Island, a place of extraordinary
beauty, is located directly off the coast from
the locality of O Grove, in Pontevedra,
northern Spain. Anchored to the Arousa
tidal inlet, this thermal haven is connected
to the world by a beautiful bridge. Once
travellers cross over they have an experience
that changes their perception of the concept
of wellbeing.
Though it is a unique destination with Na-
tional Centre of Interest to Tourism status,
the island has preserved its essence, avoiding
overcrowding and overbuilding. This makes
La Toja the perfect choice for anyone who
loves quality of life.
A destination to immerse oneself in
The main attraction of this place is its
thermal and medicinal waters. Because
La Toja is, above all, a wonderful source
of health. Its spa, with a magical natural
setting, makes full use of the therapeutic
properties of the local springs to provide
great physical benefits, both therapeutic and
preventative, with mineral-medicinal waters
and natural peloids (thermal mud). The is-
land offers travellers various options to en-
sure they enjoy a pleasant stay, immersing
themselves in life-giving waters and receiving
the best treatments.
Though the water is what everything else
revolves around, La Toja has many other op-
tions for enjoying a per fect stay. From its well
known casino to its exclusive golf club, the is-
land feels like it has been modelled especially
for its visitors.
The cuisine is another temptation that
makes this island an unmissable trip. The
O Grove area is a place of exceptional culi-
nary wealth in which to immerse oneself. Its
fish and seafood, in particular, make it the
gastronomic capital of the Galician coast.

be discovered.
Among other delicacies,
visitors should sam-
ple the dishes pre-
pared from hake,
turbot, grouper,
sea bass, sole
and, above all,
the star of the
show: seafood.
An exceptionalsetting
The richness and sin-
gularity of the setting arouses
a curiosity in visitors to discover its most
iconic beauty spots, so that exploring the
area becomes the perfect complement to the
trip. Among the various
possibilities offered by
the island, cycling
is an excellent
way to enjoy the
scenery and the
toing and froing
of the remark-
able tidal inlets.
Another option
is to discover and
sample, from a cata-
maran, the main driv-
ing force of the local econ-
omy: the mussel beds. And of course,
there are the beautiful beaches that line the
coast, where time seems to stand still.n
