It is amazing how time travels so fast. Since the last newsletter back in January, many things have happened not only in the United States, but also around the world. This pandemic has managed to put a pause on many things such as work, public events, and many church related activities. Nevertheless, we are thankful to God for technology, which has made it possible for the school to continue training faithful gospel preachers. Right after the end of the Spring break, it was decided that the school would continue offering classes via Zoom, a system that allows students to connect live and receive online classes. I love this system because it has all the features needed to impart the necessary teaching to all of our students. The instructors have done a great job adapting to this way of teaching God’s Word. We pray that God’s Will be done in all of the difficult moments of life. We don’t know what the future holds, but one thing we do know is that God is in control of everything. His Will, will continue to be done, and all the available technology we have to spread the gospel of Christ, will be utilized. Please continue to keep the school in your prayers. We know that some supporters have lost their jobs, and may not continue to send their support to the school. We have some that even though their work hours have been reduced, they still want to continue their support of the school. May the gracious Lord continue to help us in this great effort!

Es sorprendente cómo el tiempo viaja tan rápido. Desde el último informativo en enero, han sucedido muchas cosas no solo en los Estados Unidos, sino también en todo el mundo. Esta pandemia ha logrado detener muchas cosas como el trabajo, los eventos públicos y muchas actividades relacionadas con la iglesia. Sin embargo, estamos agradecidos con Dios por la tecnología, que ha hecho posible que la escuela continúe entrenando predicadores fieles del evangelio. Justo después del final de las vacaciones de primavera, se decidió que la escuela continuaría ofreciendo clases a través de Zoom, un sistema que permite a los estudiantes conectarse en vivo y recibir clases en línea. Me encanta este sistema porque tiene todas las características necesarias para impartir la enseñanza a todos nuestros estudiantes. Los instructores han hecho un gran trabajo adaptándose a esta forma de enseñar la Palabra de Dios. Oramos para que se haga la voluntad de Dios en todos los momentos difíciles de la vida. No sabemos lo que depara el futuro, pero una cosa sí sabemos es que Dios tiene el control de todo. Se continuará haciendo Su voluntad, y se utilizará toda la tecnología disponible que tenemos para difundir el evangelio de Cristo. Por favor continúe manteniendo la escuela en sus oraciones. Sabemos que algunos hermanos han perdido sus empleos y es posible que no sigan enviando su apoyo a la escuela. Tenemos algunos que a pesar de que sus horas de trabajo se han reducido, todavía quieren continuar apoyando a la escuela. ¡Qué el Dios de misericordia continúe ayudándonos en esta gran labor de preparar predicadores de la Palabra!

CLASES EN LÍNEA/ONLINE CLASSES

En esta fotografía se puede contemplar los estudiantes del segundo año tomando sus clases en línea. A través de Zoom se puede hacer prácticamente todo lo que se pudiera hacer en el salón de clases. ¡Gracias a Dios por la tecnología! This photo shows our second-year students taking their classes online. Through Zoom we can pretty much do what we would do in the classroom setting. Thank God for technology!

ESTUDIANTES OYENTES/ AUDITING STUDENTS

Estudiantes oyentes son aquellos que asisten a las clases de la escuela sin compromiso alguno. Tales toman los cursos que desean estudiar para conocer mejor la Palabra de Dios. El trimestre pasado tuvimos dos hermanos que estuvieron tomando algunas clases con nosotros. Si usted desea asistir como oyente para el próximo trimestre, a continuación, le mostramos los cursos que se estarán estudiando de julio a septiembre: Primer año: Proverbios, Eclesiastés, Cantar de los Cantares, historia de la iglesia, griego I, evangelio de Lucas, hermenéutica especial, homilética II, la iglesia del Nuevo Testamento, dirección de cantos, y doctrinas denominacionales. Auditing students are those who attend classes without any obligations. Such take the courses they wish to study to better understand the Word of God. Last quarter we had two brothers who were taking some classes with us. If you desire to attend as an auditor student for the next quarter, then here are some of the courses that will be offered from July through September: First Year: Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Church History, Greek I, Gospel of Luke, Special Hermeneutics, Homiletics II, The New Testament Church, Singing and Song Leading, and Denominational Doctrines. Second Year: Greek Exegesis (1-3 John), Critical Thinking, Revelation, Nehemiah, Job, Introduction to teaching, Local Program of Work, The Minor Prophets, Practicum Preacher II, Getting and Keeping a Job.

SPANISH DEPARTMENT Sabemos que hay algunas congregaciones de habla hispana e inglesa que aún no están apoyando a la escuela de predicación. Le pedimos que por favor considere en oración involucrarse con este gran esfuerzo de capacitar a predicadores que podrán compartir el evangelio de Cristo no solo en los Estados Unidos, sino también en México, América Central y del Sur. Nuestros graduados de este programa están haciendo la diferencia en el mundo a través de sus predicaciones. Algunos de ellos son bilingües, lo que significa que pueden alcanzar a más personas a través de su predicación. Le rogamos que considere apoyar el fondo general del departamento español o un estudiante en este programa.Tenemos 5 estudiantes quienes desean comenzar sus estudios en enero de 2021. No podrán asistir a Brown Trail a menos que tengamos varias congregaciones que los apoyen con $ 25, 50, 100 o cualquier cantidad con la que puedan ayudar por mes. Más de 50 estudiantes se han graduado de este programa gracias al amor y la generosidad de varios hermanos que han apoyado nuestro trabajo en la escuela. We know that there are many Spanish and English-speaking congregations who are not yet supporting the Spanish Department. We ask that you please prayerfully consider being involved with this great effort of training preachers who will be able to share the gospel of Christ not only in the U.S., but also in Central and South America. Our graduates from this program are making a difference in the world by their preaching. Some of them are bilingual, which means they can reach more people through their preaching. We beg you to please consider supporting either the general fund of the Spanish department, or a student in this program. We have 5 students who would love to begin their studies in January of 2021. They will not be able to attend Brown Trail unless we have several congregations supporting them with either $25, 50, 100 or whatever amount you can help with. More than 50 students have graduated from this program thanks to the love and generosity of several brethren who have supported our work in the Spanish department. I hope and pray that you will become one of our supporters this year.

sino que también está dando frutos porque los maestros se capacitaron en el pasado en la Escuela de Predicación de Brown Trail. Ahora usan su conocimiento de la Palabra de Dios para ayudar a preparar a otros fieles a predicar el evangelio de Cristo en su idioma español. EVANGELISMO EN CORSICANA, TX. / EVANGELISM IN CORSICANA, TX

Los estudiantes de ambos departamentos tuvieron un excelente tiempo participando en una actividad de evangelismo para la iglesia de Cristo de Westhill en Corsicana, TX. Casi 2,000 casas fueron visitadas y varios estudios Bíblicos fueron establecidos. La iglesia de Westhill está muy agradecida y contenta con el trabajo que los estudiantes pudieron llevar a cabo. The students from both departments had a great time participating in a door-knocking campaign for the Westhill church of Christ in Corsicana, TX. Nearly 2,000 doors were knocked and several Bible studies were set up. The church at Westhill is very thankful and happy for the great job the student performed during this great evangelistic effort.
