INTRODUCCION:
• ETS: genital- genital.más frecuente en las mujeres
• Causada: virus herpes simple tipo 1 (VHS-1) y tipo 2 (VHS-2).

• Signos:ampollas (genitales, recto o alrededor de los mismos)
• Hormigueo, ardor, picazón o dolor .
• Úlceras = costra = 7 a 14
días o más
• Permanece en forma indefinida en el organismo “DORMIDO”.

• El virus puede "despertar" (reactivarse) en cualquier momento.
• Tratamiento: • Medicamentos: aciclovir, famciclovir y valaciclovir.

Resumen:• Reservorio : Humano • Mecanismo de transmisión : Contacto directo
con secreciones, generalmente oral (genital,
orogenital, génitoanal) • Fuente de infección : Sintomático -Excretor
asintomático • Período de incubación : 6 días a 4 semanas • Primo infección : 90% en la
infancia. Síntomas: o 90% asintomático o 9% enfermedad menor o 1% gingivoestomatitis:
lesiones vesiculosas ulceradas mucosa bucal, fiebre
y malestar general.
