Presente continuo

Se utiliza para acontecimientosque están ocurriendo en o entorno a este momento particularen el tiempo, para indicar quealgo es temporal, y tambiénpara hablar sobre planes en elfuturo.

Para formar el presente continuo se utiliza el verbo

auxiliar “to be” y el gerundio (infinitivo + “-ing”) del verbo.

Pasado continuo

Se forma escribiendo el verboto be que corresponde a cadasujeto en pasado simple (was ywere) y el verbo principal conla terminación -ing, estaterminación corresponde al

gerundio en español.
