VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

DEFINITION "Violence against women is perhaps the most

shameful human rights violation. Not limited to geography, culture or wealth. As long as we can not say that we have real progress towards equality, development and peace."

Violence against women constitutes a violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and impairs or nullifies the recognition, enjoyment or exercise of such rights and freedoms.

TYPES OF VIOLENCE PHYSICAL VIOLENCE.

It is the violence committed directly into the body of the person, are the attacks that are made with hands, fists, nails, feet, knives or other objects within reach of the attacker. This type of violence can be easily seen by the traces left in the body, but can also be mild strokes that leave no apparent trace but repeated frequencies, also undermine the health of the victim.

Psychological violence.Psychological violence directly damage the value, esteem and emotional stability of the person who suffers are the humiliations, insults, contempt, neglect, threats, omissions, silences, and other behaviors similar to those subjected daily to a woman and other vulnerable members of the family, and have a psychological impact, and certainly throughout the health of the person who suffers.

SEXUAL VIOLENCESexual violence is the act that is against the will or without consent of the victim that he bends by using physical violence or intimidation.Sexual violence attacks, among others, the rights to sexual freedom and bodily integrity, and can happen on the street, in a workplace, in school or in the same family as part of domestic violence.

SEXUAL VIOLENCE HAS MANY FORMS:

Access or harassment on the street, at work, at home, at school, at school, college, etc..

WHAT IS SEXUAL HARASSMENT? Sexual harassment is any behavior or

unwanted sexual advances which interfere with your right to an education or to participate in school activities. In school, sexual harassment may be a result of sexual behavior or words offend you, check with stigma, degrade, be afraid or threatened by your sex.

EXAMPLES OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

• Touching, grabbing, and pinching any part of the body.• Being cornered.• Send notes or sexual photographs.• Writing sexual graffiti.• Make suggestions, gestures, looks, jokes or sexual comments (this may include sounds such as barking)• Make proposals or sexual rumors say.• Take away someone's clothes.• take off your clothes.• Being forced (o) to kiss, or do something sexual to someone.• Being raped (o) or an alert of rape.

PREVENTION MEASURES AGAINST VIOLENCE TO WOMEN

Develop, implement and evaluate programs for the prevention of violence against womeneducating children and young people about the respect due to women having.

You need to talk about it at family, with sons and daughters, uncles, cousins , etc., address the issue also between neighbors and the community.

development of educational talks at the institutional level to publicize the problem of violence against women.
