WHAT IS A CYCLE SHOW?
A Guiding Star Cycle Show for 9-13-year-old girls is a
5 hour interactive, multimedia workshop that teaches
girls about reproductive health. The beginning of
puberty is the ideal time for girls to learn about and
appreciate all the amazing changes that are taking place within their
bodies. Participation in the Cycle Show gives girls healthy respect
for their bodies and helps them place value on their health as they
move into their teenage years. There is no religious component in
the program; only an emphasis on how wonderfully well the human
body works!
The workshop runs 9 am-2 pm on Saturday, October 12. A one-hour
"Parent Presentation” for parents, teachers, administrators, and
healthcare providers or youth workers will be held at 7:00 PM on
Fri., October 11. Both parent program and Cycle Show will be held
in the lower level of the St. Henry Faith Formation building.
Workshops are limited to 12 girls. Information and registration link:

ANUNCIOS
Hemos hecho no
más que nuestro deber.’”
OUR STEWARDSHIP
When will I have given enough - of my income, of my time, of my
talents? Today’s Gospel suggests that only total stewardship will do:
“When you have done all you have been commanded to do, say, ‘we
are useless servants. We have done no more than our duty’.”

Faith the size of a mustard seed…
When you pray, what do you expect? Are you like the
person who prays for rain but never carries an
umbrella? A father asked his young daughter what she
wanted for her birthday. The little girl answered that
she had asked God for snow on that day. The father
was a little surprised, as they lived in Arizona and the
girl’s birthday was in July! The birthday came and
there was a wonderful celebration with cake and gifts.
That night when the father tucked his daughter into
bed, he asked her if she was disappointed that God
hadn’t answered her prayer. The child said, “But He
did. He said, ‘No.’”
THAT is the kind of faith we should have - trusting in a
loving Father who answers ALL of our prayers in due
time and always for the best! Jesus says that even if we
have faith the size of a mustard seed (or a carrot seed
or a banana seed!) we can move mountains. Do you
think Jesus was exaggerating to make a point?
Remember - with God ALL things are possible! Be bold
in your prayer. God IS listening!
¡Dios
está escuchando!
