SOLUCIN A LA DOCENCIA DE PRCTICAS AGRCOLAS: PODA DEL OLIVO EN INTERNET

RESUMEN

El elevado nmero de alumnos matriculados en la Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniera Tcnica Agrcola(EUITA) de la Universidad de Sevilla dificulta la enseanza de aquellos temas eminentemente prcticosde las asignaturas de Cultivos Leosos y Olivicultura. A esto se une la dificultad que entraa elaprendizaje de determinadas tcnicas de cultivo, como la poda, por su empirismo y complejidad. Laelaboracin de CD sobre la poda del olivo, con la implicacin directa de los alumnos nos ha permitidopaliar en parte esta deficiencia. Los alumnos tendrn fcil acceso a este trabajo en Internet, a travs de la

pgina web de la EUITA .En la ejecucin del CD han intervenido tanto profesores como alumnos y se ha contado con la experienciadel personal del Secretariado de Recursos Audiovisuales y Nuevas Tecnologas de la Universidad deSevilla. Tambin han colaborado podadores y tcnicos cualificados.

Con este proyecto de innovacin se ha obtenido un material didctico de gran valor docente. Por otrolado, los profesores han adquirido habilidad en la realizacin y montaje de vdeos y CDs, lo que lespermitir abordar nuevos proyectos docentes, as como actualizar lo ya realizado.

ABSTRACT

The teaching of technical subjects such as Fruit Crops (Cultivos Leosos) and Olive cropping

(Olivicultura) at the School of Technical Agriculture Engineering of the University of Sevilla (EUITA),is hampered by the high number of students enrolled in these courses. In addition, the empirism andcomplexity of some cropping systems make these subjects particularily dificult. In order to overcomethese difficulties we have made a CD-ROM concerning olive pruning in which students have participated.Information included in this CD will be available through Internet at the web page of the EUITA.

Teachers and students have collaborated in the making of this CD, aswell as the staff of the Audio-VisualResources Office (Secretariado de Recursos Audiovisuales y Nuevas Tecnologas). We have also countedon the expertise of proffesional pruners and qualified technicals.

With this innovation project a very interesting didactic material has been obtained. On the other hand,teachers have aquired the technical skills for making didactic video films and CDs. This training will helpthem in future teaching projects aswell as for updating the present CD.
