dimos a ti hoy como tus amados hijos. Te pedimos intercedas por nosotros ante tu Hijo, así

Ora por nosotros, amorosa Madre, y obtén para nuestra nación y para el mundo,

la protección de tus santos ángeles, que seamos librados de lo peor de esta enfermedad.

We fly to you today as your beloved children. We ask you to intercede for us with your Son,

as you did at the wedding in Cana.

Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our nation and world,

and for all our families and loved ones, the protection of your holy angels,

that we may be spared the worst of this illness. For those already afflicted,

we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance. Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful,

wipe away their tears and help them to trust.

In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us in the Church to love

one another and to be patient and kind. Help us to bring the peace of

Jesus to our land and to our hearts.

We come to you with confidence, knowing that you truly are our

compassionate mother, health of the sick and cause of our joy.

Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, keep us in the embrace of your arms,

help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus. Amen.

A R F F G Meditating the Word of God Brothers and sisters, welcome to today's celebration of the Mass on the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Today's First Reading was a call to penance and conversion. When Pentecost had come, Peter stood before the crowd and told them to repent. He told them to turn away from their sins. The people of God had reject-ed Jesus as their Messiah and the Gentiles continued to worship idols. Both greatly displeased God; that was their sins. Peter also told the crowd that each and every one of them should be baptized in the Name of Jesus. The new Baptism of Jesus was superior to the Baptism of John the Baptist. Because it involved two things. It involved receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then it allowed the pronouncing of the saving Name of Jesus. Finally, Peter informed those who were present that through the Sacrament of Baptism, they would receive the for-giveness of sins. Through penance and Baptism, the new con-verts were added to the number of the elects. It is sad that nowa-days there are Catholic families that no longer see the im-portance of the Sacrament of Baptism. As such, they omit hav-ing their children baptized. In today's Gospel Reading, we heard that Jesus said, “I am the gate for the sheep.” “Whoever enters by Me will be saved.” In other words, He said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life." The way to Jesus is Jesus' way, not mankind's way! The way to Jesus is through the Church, the Church that has been established by Jesus Himself, the same Church that has handed down to us since the days of Saint Peter. The Church of Jesus fosters a living faith in the Christian family. Jesus gave two comparisons. He compared Himself to the Shepherd and to the Gate. The first title represents His ownership. The Shepherd is the true owner of the sheep. The second title represents His lead-ership. Jesus is the Gate, the way. He is the one Mediator be-tween God and mankind. All must go through Him, through His Church, in order to arrive to Heaven. Throughout this week, let us reflect upon today's homily and remember our obligation to foster vocations in our home. Let us remember Jesus' Words to Peter, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” Let us also remember that He said, “Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there will my servant be also. Whoever serves me, the Father will honor.

R G Meditando la Palabra de Dios Hermanos y hermanas, bienvenidos a la celebración de la misa de hoy en el cuarto domingo de Pascua. La primera lectura de hoy fue un llamado a la penitencia y la conversión. Cuando llegó Pentecostés, Pedro se paró ante la multitud y les dijo que se arrepintieran. Les dijo que se apartaran de sus pecados. El pue-blo de Dios había rechazado a Jesús como su Mesías y los genti-les continuaron adorando ídolos. Ambos desagradaron mucho a Dios; esos fueron sus pecados. Pedro también le dijo a la multitud que todos y cada uno de ellos deberían ser bautizados en el Nombre de Jesús. El nuevo bautismo de Jesús fue superior al bautismo de Juan el Bautista. Porque involucraba dos cosas. Implicaba recibir el don del Espí-ritu Santo. Luego permitió pronunciar el Nombre salvador de Jesús. Finalmente, Pedro informó a los presentes que a través del Sacramento del Bautismo, recibirían el perdón de los pecados. A través de la penitencia y el bautismo, los nuevos conversos se agregaron al número de los elegidos. Es triste que hoy en día haya familias católicas que ya no vean la importancia del Sacra-mento del Bautismo. Como tal, omiten que sus hijos sean bauti-zados. En la lectura del Evangelio de hoy, escuchamos que Jesús dijo: “Yo soy la puerta para las ovejas”. “El que entre por mí será salvo”. En otras palabras, dijo: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida”. ¡El camino a Jesús es el camino de Jesús, no el ca-mino de la humanidad! El camino a Jesús es a través de la Igle-sia, la Iglesia que ha sido establecida por Jesús mismo, la misma Iglesia que nos ha transmitido desde los días de San Pedro. La Iglesia de Jesús fomenta una fe viva en la familia cristiana. Jesús dio dos comparaciones. Se comparó con el Pastor y con la Puer-ta. El primer título representa su propiedad. El pastor es el verda-dero dueño de las ovejas. El segundo título representa su lideraz-go. Jesús es la puerta, el camino. Él es el único mediador entre Dios y la humanidad. Todos deben pasar por Él, por Su Iglesia, para llegar al Cielo. Durante esta semana, reflexionemos sobre la homilía de hoy y recor-demos nuestra obligación de fomentar las vocaciones en nuestro hogar. Recordemos las palabras de Jesús a Pedro: “Sígueme, y te haré pescar personas”. Recordemos también que Él dijo: “El que me sirve debe seguirme, y donde yo esté, allí estará también mi servidor. El que me sirva, el Padre lo honrará”.

A MESSAGE FROM DEACON RICHARD This week the fourth week of Easter we’re going to cele-brate the relays 50 days The rising of the Lord and as we heard this past Sunday that we are all on a journey as we hear the Lord speak reminding us of his message to each one of us, In 2013 at the chrism mass for the diocese of Rome Pope Francis asked Bishops and priests to be shepherds with the smell of the sheep,” smelling like the sheep requires getting close to them. Shepherds got close they slept at the entry of the pen to protect the sheep and keep them from wandering off. Sheep recognized the shepherds voice and followed, the shep-herd, held a wandering sheep around his neck to reinforce his smell and remind the sheep not to wonder again, to be close to Jesus, we need to follow his example by Reward Tate in our lives to live unconditionally merciful love and filled with the Holy Spirit we can forgive, speak the truth in love, and live like Christ the servant of God our shepherd. The pope, bishops, priests, deacons, or religious, are not the only ones to smell like the sheep. All of us are sheep and shep-herds call to care for one another in the name of Jesus Christ. By getting close to one another we can help others hear the shepherd voice, feel the shepherds love and experience the shepherds forgiveness. Just as a sheep gate is a doorway to the sheep pen so are our lives doors to which Jesus Christ the good shepherd dwells in our midst and is made known. Update on the office, we have called over 400 Parishioners! We are doing wellness calls to be sure our Parishioners know we are here if they need assistance or referrals for services. MENSAJE DEL DIACONO RICHARD Esta semana, la cuarta semana de Pascua vamos a celebrar los rele-vos 50 días El levantamiento del Señor y al escuchar el domingo pa-sado que todos estamos en un viaje mientras escuchamos al Señor hablar recordándonos su mensaje a cada uno de nosotros, En 2013, en la misa de crisma para la diócesis de Roma, el Papa Francisco pidió a los obispos y sacerdotes que fueran pastores con el olor de las ovejas", oler como las ovejas requiere acercarse a ellas. Al acercarnos los unos de los otros, podemos ayudar a los demás a escuchar la voz del pastor, sentir que los pastores aman y experimentan el perdón de los pastores. Así como una puerta de ove-jas es una puerta a la pluma de ovejas también lo son nuestras puertas de vida a las que Jesucristo mora el buen pastor entre nosotros y se da a conocer.
