Al encontrarnos en la era de la informacin y la tecnologa el rol del docente ya no es el mismo. El docente de hoy, se convierte en un facilitador y gua que lleva a los estudiantes a hacer un uso apropiado de esa informacin, que constantemente bombardea a los jvenes, la cual puede llegar a ser muy perjudicial si no se le da un uso adecuado. Por tanto el maestro debe llevar a la reflexin y seleccin de las fuentes adecuadas para formar estudiantes crticos y propositivos frente a los contenidos y fenmenos que viven en estos tiempos.

Para ello, el docente debe ser competente de acuerdo con las exigencias actuales, con capacidad investigativa, creadora y sobretodo motivadora, en la creacin de entornos educativos que promuevan no solo el uso de herramientas TIC, sino tambin su aplicacin con un propsito pedaggico claro, que derive en la construccin de significativo y nuevo conocimiento.

Today the teacher becomes in the facilitator and guide that leads the students to make a proper use of such information that constantly bombards the young people, which can be very harmful if not given proper use. Therefore, the teacher should lead to reflection and selection of appropriate sources to form critical and proactive students against the contents and situations that living in these times.
