BIOGRAFÍA

Paco Soto, Águilas (1991). Se crió en Tánger, y quizás por ese estar entre dos aguas, le entró con 9 años la idea de ser guitarrista flamenco; desde entonces se puso a la tarea.Con tan solo 25 años acaba de publicar su primer disco “VIDA”. Un disco fresco compuesto íntegramente por Paco, dónde colaboran maestros como Jorge Pardo o el Guadiana, a la vez que otras jóvenes promesas como Sandra Carrasco. Un disco de guitarra flamenca donde hay guiños a la música andalusí, el jazz o la música clásica y que ponen al joven guitarrista en la catapulta de los nuevos y firmes talentos de este arte.

Tiene su propio grupo “Paco Soto Sextet”, con el que ha actuado en ciudades como New York, Barcelona, Madrid, Ámsterdam o Bruselas, en emblemáticas salas como el Instituto Cervantes de NY, Shrine, Café Berlín, Nova Jazz Cava, Jamboree...Durante su trayectoria ha colaborado con artistas fla-mencos y de jazz como José Soto Sorderita, Montse Cortés, Jorge Pardo, Josemi Carmona, Javier Colina, Guadiana, Juan José Suárez “Paquete”, Los Chunguitos, Piraña, Sandra Carrasco, Ramón Porrina, Sabú Porrina,Bandolero, Kiki Morente, Juan Habichuela, Yelsy Heredia, Nino de los Reyes, Isaac de los Reyes, Paloma Fantova, Moises P. Sánchez, Julio Botti, Luis Guerra, Dan Ber Lior, José María Cortina...

Ha participado en instituciones como “Ciudad de la Luz”, “Instituto Cervantes de New York” o “Columbia University”, donde ha participado y ha impartido cursos de flamenco y de la relación de Federico García Lorca con el flamenco.Ha trabajado para compañías como la de Clara Ramona Tour China 2015/16; donde recorrió todas las ciudades del gigante asiático, o como la de Sonia Olla e Ismael Fernández, en EEUU. Actualmente forma parte del Ballet Flamenco Español, del Trío y Cuarteto de Flamenco-Jazz de Enrique Rodriguez “Enriquito”, y acompaña a numerosos cantaores del flamenco.

Ha trabajado en tablaos como Casapatas, Las Carboneras, Corral de la Morería o Cardamomo (Madrid), La Venta del Gallo, Los Jardines de Zoraya, Le Chien Andalou (Granada), Alma de Flamenco (Fukuoka y Osaka), Alegrías la Nathional (New York), o Jaleoy Peña Al-Andalous (Bélgica).

He grew up in Tánger, and maybe because of that being between two waters, he was introduced to the idea of

being a flamenco guitarist when he was 9 years old; since then he got to the task.

With only 25 years has just published his first album “VIDA”. A fresh album composed entirely by Paco, where

famous artists like as Jorge Pardo and Guadiana have collaborate, as well as other young promises such as

Sandra Carrasco. A flamenco guitar album where there are nods to Andalusian music, jazz or classical music and

that had put this young guitarist in the catapult of the new and firm talents of this art.

He has his own group “Paco Soto Sextet”, with which he has performed in cities such as New York, Barcelona,Madrid, Amsterdam or Brussels, in emblematic venues

such as the Instituto Cervantes de NY, Shrine, Café Berlín, Nova Jazz Cava, Jamboree...

During his career he has collaborated with flamenco and jazz artists such as José Soto Sorderita, Montse Cortés,

Jorge Pardo, Josemi Carmona, Javier Colina, Guadiana, Juan José Suárez “Paquete”, Los Chunguitos, Piraña,

Yelsy Heredia, Niño de los Reyes, Isaac de los Reyes,Paloma Fantova, Moises P. Sánchez, Julio Botti,Luis Guerra, Dan Ber Lior, José María Cortina...

Toda expresión artística debe ir unida inexorablemente a la vivencia, y el espectáculo no es, ni más ni menos, que una serie de muchos sentimientos hechos música, canalizados por los distintos palos del flamenco. Ese es el concepto de “VIDA”, el primer disco del guitarrista Paco Soto, un recorrido por las sensaciones “nostalgia”, “amor”, “muerte”, “deseo”... A través de los palos del flamenco, con una fuerte apertura al jazz y a influencias andalusíes y mediterráneas.

Paco ha formado a lo largo de los últimos 5 años un grupo compacto y fuerte que suena como si fueran todos a una. José María Cortina al piano, Miguel Rodrigáñez al contrabajo, Sabú Porrina a la percusión y el cante gitano de Antonio Amador “El Ciervo”. Todos han grabado en el disco y se nota que saben lo que están tocando, una oda al sentimiento.

Durante una hora y media (aproximadamente), nos harán ir a la guerra de Siria por seguiriyas, recordar al maestro Paco de Lucía por bulerías, volver a la infancia por tanguillos o esear el amor por rumbas.

Tras haber estrenado disco y grupo en febrero de 2017, han tenido la posibilidad de estrenar el disco en varios escenarios de España, todos ellos con aforo completo y un gran éxito por parte del público.

Las expresiones, la comunicación, los quejíos y las risas viven en un mundo cada vez más informatizado, donde las caras son fotos en pantallas planas y donde las palabras son letras de sms. El sentido de esta obra es no olvidarse de que da igual el tiempo vivido para sentir y emocionarse, evolucionar sin perder lo que nos hace humanos.

PRESENTACIÓN All artistic expression must be inextricably linked to the experience, and the show is nothing more or less than

a series of many feelings made music, channeled by the different flamenco styles.

That is the concept of “VIDA”, the first disc of theguitarist Paco Soto, a journey through the sensations

“nostalgia”, “love”, “death”, “desire”...Through the “palos” of flamenco, with a strong

opening to jazz and Andalusian andMediterranean influences.

Paco has formed over the last 5 years a compact and strong group that sounds as if they were all one.

José María Cortina on piano, Miguel Rodrigáñez on double bass, Sabú Porrina on percussion and gypsy

cante by Antonio Amador “El Ciervo”.All have recorded on the album and it shows that they

know what they are playing, an ode to feeling.

For an hour and a half (approximately), they will make us go to the Syrian war for seguiriyas, remember the maes-

tro Paco de Lucía for bulerías, return to childhood by tanguillos or love the love for rumbas.

After having released album and group in February 2017, they have had the opportunity to release the al-

bum in several stages of Spain, all of them with capacitycomplete and a great success on the part of the public.

Expressions, communication, whining and laughter live in an increasingly computerized world,

where the faces are pictures on flat screens and where the words are sms letters. The meaning of this work is

not to forget that it does not matter the time lived to feel and get excited, evolve without losing what makes us

human.
