THE FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS.

NUADA the silver hand.

NUADA was an important figure in Celtic mythology.

According to the myth, at one point NUADA was the king of all

gods and goddesses. However, during a great battle, Nuada's

arm was severed from his body. This unfortunate wound

immediately disqualified Nuada from the rank of king; he was no

longer ”perfectly strong” and so, he was forced to abdicate.

It was the clever god Dian Cecht who in part regained Nuada his

fortune, by creating a silver arm to replace the one that had

been lost. And it was with this powerful and precious new arm

that the overthrown king recouped his throne, receiving the title

"Nuada Argetlamh", aka "Nuada of the Silver Hand”.

Elderly population and people who have had a stroke often suffer from lack of hand strength.

By 2025 more than 20% of Europeans will be 65 or over. The proportion of older people requiring support from adults of working age will increase from 10.5% in 1955 and 12.3% in 1995 to 17.2% in 2025. WHO health report Global health situation and trends 1955-2025

People that suffer from several types of Arthritis have acute hand pain.

2-3% of the world population is affected by Psoriasis.

4-42% is the estimated prevalence of

psoriatic arthritis (PA) among patients suffering from

Psoriasis.

50% of patients present limitations in daily

life activities. The PA can be a chronic

progressive disease that causes severe

functional limitations in 11% of patients.

80% of people over 55

suffer from Osteoarthritis

(OA).

0,5-1,5% of the population of industrial countries
