WARM-UP (5 MINUTES)

I will greet the students and I will play the song “Hello” as in the previous class in order to make them do this as a habit.

I will ask the students to seat in a semi-circle and sing along the song. I will encourage the students to clap their hands or use gestures in time with the music.

PRESENTATION (5 minutes)

I will revise what the students remember about the previous class about the weather.

I will ask them:

What´s the weather like?

And they will answer: It´s sunny! (they look outside the window sitting all together)

DEVELOPMENT

ACTIVITY 1 (5 MINUTES)

I will ask them about animals, which animals they know in English, and most of them answer: CAT!

Another student says: DOG!

I will say: Very Good!

So, I say them that there are others animals and we will learn them today!

ACTIVITY 2 (10 MINUTES)

I will stick a picture of the animals on the board. Each animal will have the name below them.

After that, I will ask the students to repeat the name of the animals after me.

TRANSITION (2 MINUTES)

I will tell the students that they are going to work with puzzles in the next activity. The students get happy since they like it.

ACTIVITY 3 (15 MINUTES)

I will ask the students to seat in groups of 3 or 2. There will be 4 groups. I will give a different puzzle of animals to each of the group. The puzzles will have the same animals as the ones I stick on the board. They will have to join the puzzles in order to form an animal. Each of the groups will have a different animal since they are only 10. There will be 4 animals in the class. After that, I will ask the students to stick their puzzles on the walls of the classroom.

After that, I will ask a new question:

What´s this? (pointing to the animal I stick on the board) I will write the question on the board.

The student answers: Dog!

The students understand the meaning of the question well. So, I will ask them to make the same question between them in order to make interaction between mates.

TRANSITION (2 MINUTES)

I will tell the students that the next activity is a game! Enjoy it!

ACTIVITY 4 (10 MINUTES)

I will project a video with all the animals but I will ask them to repeat only the sounds of the animals they recognize.

After watching the video, I will ask the students to seat in two groups of 5 each one.

I will ask them to choose one student and I will ask him or her to make an animal´s sound. The rest of the group should say which animal he or she is making. They will do it five times; each of them should pass to the front. The group which more correct answers have will win!

I will play the song “Goodbye”. I will ask them to sing and clap their hands in the first time I play it. In the second time, the students should use the song gestures imitating the teacher.
