• A cost reduction on previous system to allow even lightly used crossings to have a warning system.

• Does not require modifications to train or signalling infrastructure

• Is self contained, can be retro-fitted to all crossing types.

• Sensors are robust and suitable for trackside environment

• Allows car drivers to switch off engines, hence also reducing noise and pollution.

• May allow trains to increase speed on crossings

• Intelligent Cable– Sensors in the cable detect the train as it passes, then send this

information to the Controller.• Controller

– Controller receives detection information from the sensors and calculates the position, speed and arrival time of Train.

– The train information is displayed in various ways and audible warning can be generated.

• Power Supply – Due to use of low power components the power requirements can be

satisfied by Battery, Solar Power or existing trackside power.
