CARACTERÍSTICAS• El probador de cables es una herramienta auxiliar para verifi car el funcionamiento correcto de la mayoría de cables utilizados en aplicaciones de audio y computación.

• Tiene LEDs en color amarillo y verde que indican continuidad y correcta interconexión, el LED rojo indica cortocircuito, y también tiene un indicador de encendido/apagado, además de un selector rotatorio de 9 posiciones que le ayuda a la verifi cación de los cables paso por paso.

• Conectores jack Speakon, 6,3 mm TRS, RCA, DIN de 3/5/7/8 pines, XLR, RJ45, USB tipo B y tipo A, 3,5 mm TRS, y banana.

BATERÍA1. Levante y extraiga el compartimento para la batería y coloque una pila cuadrada, ponga atención a la polaridad.

2. Inserte el compartimento en el probador, asegurándose de que quede bien instalado.

3. Compruebe el estado de la batería girando la perilla a la opción “Battery check”; el LED se iluminará de color verde brillante si la batería está completamente cargada.

Asegúrese de que el compartimento de batería haga clic al insertarlo en el probador para que quede bien instalado.

INSTRUCCIONES

1. Conecte un extremo del cable que desee probar en el lado izquierdo del probador, en la entrada correspondiente, haga lo mismo con el otro extremo, pero en el lado derecho del probador.

2. Gire la perilla al número uno para comprobar la continuidad del pin 1. Si hay continuidad, los LED verde (pin izquierdo) y amarillo (pin derecho) del pin 1 se encenderán.

Dependiendo de la cantidad de pines que tenga el cable a probar, repita el proceso girando la perilla a los demás números.

Si el LED rojo (tierra) se enciende, signifi ca que uno de los pines está haciendo contacto con la carcasa, es decir está aterrizado.

3. Para probar conectores banana, conecte cada extremo en la entrada correspondiente. Si hay continuidad, el LED de en medio de los conectores banana se iluminará y se escuchará un tono.

En caso de que algún cable tenga pines conectados entre sí, como en el caso del XLR desbalanceado, se encenderán los LED de los pines que tengan continuidad.

Cuando pruebe cables con conectores diferentes, por ejemplo Cannon a 6,3 mm, recuerde que siempre debe conectar un extremo de cada lado.

BATTERY1. Lift and remove the battery compartment and place a square battery, pay attention to the polarity.

2. Place the compartment on the tester, making sure it is properly installed.

3. Check the battery status by turning the knob to the “Battery Check” option; the LED will glow bright green if the battery is fully charged.

Make sure the battery compartment clicks when you replace it in the tester, so it remains fi rmly attached.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Connect one end of the cable you want to test on the left side of the tester, in the corresponding entry, do the same with the other end, but on the right side of the tester.

2. Turn the knob to the number one to check continuity of the pin 1, the green LED (left pin) and the yellow one (right pin) from the pin 1 will light.

Depending on the amount of pins that the cable has, repeat the process by turning the knob to the other numbers.

If the red LED (ground) lights, it means that a pin is touching the case (grounded).

3. To test banana plugs, connect each end to the corresponding input. If there is continuity, the LED in the middle of the banana plugs will illuminate and a tone will be heard.

If a cable has pins connected to each other, as in the case of unbalanced XLR, pin LEDs that have continuity will light.

When testing cables with different connectors, such as Cannon to 6.3 mm, always plug the connectors on each side.

This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.

CONDITIONS
