Entidad clínica que se caracteriza por:
- Reciente desarrollo o empeoramiento de la ictericia.- Consumo activo de alcohol (hasta al menos 4 semanas previas)
- >100g/OH/día. Binge drinking.- AST, ALT <300-400 UI/mL, ratio 2:1- Se han descartado otras causas de hepatopatía.

Encefalopatía hepática: • Detección de precipitantes: hemorragia digestiva, infecciones, adherencia a la medicación.
• Prevención de los desencadenantes: emplear lactulosa, rifaximina, suplementos nutricionales.
Manejo del trastorno por consumo del alcohol:
• Evaluación por parte de equipo de deshabituación (psiquiatra, especialistas en adiciones).
• Síndrome de deprivaciónmoderado: valorar baclofeno.
• Deprivación grave: valorar benzodiacepinas.
Infección: • PBE, ITU, neumonía, celulitis, meningitis.
• Cultivos múltiples, radiografía de tórax, paracentesis diagnóstica.
• Empleo de antibióticos de amplio espectro si necesario.
Insuficiencia Renal:• Detección precoz y monitorizar de
forma estrecha. • Expansión de volumen con Albúmina. • Si desarrollo de SHR-‐‑1: valorar
manejo con norepinefrina (terlipresina) + albúmina.

398 pacientes con hepatitis aguda grave, tratados con esteroides.Seguimiento 42 meses [11-88]. - Pronóstico a corto plazo: MELD y Lille.- Pronóstico a largo plazo: recidiva OH (>30g/d) y proporcional a la cantidad, Lille.
- Recaídas: 1er año- 25,2%, 3er año- 33.7%, 5º año- 35,2%.
