- Esta plática ejemplifica una conversación telefónica entre (María y Carlos)

preguntándose directamente. Ellos se encuentran en países diferentes. Se saludan y

se preguntan lo que están vistiendo, el clima y lo que están haciendo en este

momento.

Ring…. Ring

Carlos: Hello! Who is speaking?

Maria: This is Maria. How are you today, Carlos?

Carlos: I’m fine. Thank you and you?

Maria: I’m very happy.

Carlos: Why are you happy?

Maria: Because I’m going to my graduation party at this moment.

Carlos: Congratulations! What are you wearing to the party?

Maria: I am wearing a blue dress and silver shoes.

Carlos: Wow! You look pretty in blue.

Maria: And you? What are you wearing?

Carlos: I’m wearing a blue shirt, a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Maria: What is the weather like there?

Carlos: It is sunny and hot. What is the weather like in Mexico?

Maria: It’s cloudy and cool.

Carlos: What time is it in Mexico?

Maria: It’s 8:30 pm. What time is it in Paris?

Carlos: It’s 4:40 am.

Maria: 4:40 am! What are you doing right now?

Carlos: I am working.

Maria: Are you working at 4:40 am? Why?

Carlos: Because, we are having a party tonight.

Maria: Are you wearing a tuxedo to the party?

Carlos: No, I am not. I am wearing casual clothes because it is very hot.
