    Dubi Dubai or Dubai Emirate (Arabic: , dbay MAWR) is

    one of the seven emirates that make up since 1971, theUnited Arab Emirates. It has 4114 km and its populationamounts to 2,262,000 inhabitants.Its capital, Dubai, is currently one of the most soughtafter tourist destinations in the world.His excessive and

    luxurious architecture has positioned itself as one ofthe most renownedcities of the Middle East and theworld. Besides his most famous beach, Jumeirah Beach, hasthe world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai, ahotel suspended in the sea that became known as the

    only seven-star hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab, thecenter largest commercial world, the Dubai Mall, thelargest source of the world, the Dubai fountain, the palmtrees or Palm Jumeirah artificial islands and artificialislands on the world map, theworld Islands.

    decades later Perpetual Maritime Truce. Dubai came underthe protection of the United Kingdom by the ExclusiveAgreement of 1892. Like four of its neighbors, Abu Dhabi, Rasal-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Qaiwain, its location on theroute to India made it a place of strategic importance.

    The city of Dubai, the emirate's capital, is famousfor its hundreds of tourist attractions andlarge area of skyscrapers, including the BurjDubai, and blocks of buildings on SheikhZayed Road,located in the business district of Dubai.

    The emirate recently built skyscrapers,including the Burj Dubai is, and has become a veryimportant door for the West, becominga major global financial center in an area that did not

    have such infrastructure, strategically locatedbetween the financial capitals of London andSingapore.

    Demography

    Its population amountsto 2,262,000 inhabitants . Dubai is unusual in terms ofpopulation, as it consists mainly of foreigners while theEmiratis are a minority. Most of these foreigners comefrom South Asia and Sout heast Asia. A quarter of thepopulation claims to come from neighboring Iran.Dubai is also home to approximately120,000 British, Spanish 2000, 1500 French and

    other Westerners. The UAE government does notallow any kind of naturalization for foreigners, however,foreigners they can acquire and own property withouta local partner or sponsor and obtain permanentresidence.

    Language and religion The official language is Arabic but also speaks English, Hindi / Urdu, Malayalam,

    Tamil, Persian and Tagalog. The majority of Emiratis religion is Islam, with the vast

    majority of Sunnis and minority Shiites noteworthy. Many of foreigners are ofconfession Hindu, Sikh, Christian. Dubai is the only emirate that has Hindutemples and Sikh Gurdwara.Dubai was formerly known as a city of the UAE but in 1982 becameindependent and today continues to grow economically by oil. Inearly 2001, stepped cutting edge with the construction of several churches on aparcel of land in Jebel Ali donated by the government of Dubai to four Protestantcongregations and a Roman Catholiccongregation. In late 2005 began to rise thefirst Greek Orthodox Church in Dubai (to be called St. Mary's). The land which wasalso made by the government donated to the GrecoOrthodox community in Dubai.Financial support for non-Muslim groups from the government of Dubai is in the

    form ofdonated land for the construction of churches and other religious facilities,includingcemeteries. Are allowed to raise money among his parishioners andreceive financial support from abroad. Christian churches canadvertise openly worship services, but may not use bells to any ad.

    Economy ofDubai

    Dubai had a gross domestic product in 2005 to 37billion dollars estadounidenses.Al though Dubai'seconomy was built largely on the basis of the oil

    industry, revenues from oiland natural gas currently account for less than 6%of revenues of the emirate. It is estimatedthat Dubai produces 240,000 barrels of oil

    per day, and significant amounts of gas in offshorefields. The emirate has a stake in the share of gasrevenues from theUnited Arab Emirates 2%.
