EL CONSORCIO DE TURISMO DE CÓRDOBA CREA LA RUTA DE MANOLETE
Conmemorando el 90 aniversario del nacimien-to y el 60 aniversario de la muerte de Manuel Rodríguez Sánchez “Manolete” el Consorcio de Turismo de Córdoba ha puesto en marcha la “Ruta de Manolete”.
Un nuevo servicio turístico creado para dar a conocer el rico patrimonio histórico, artístico y cultural de la ciudad a través de un célebre per-sonaje de Córdoba como fue “Manolete”.
La Ruta de Manolete pone en valor los prin-cipales hitos relacionados con el torero, lugares donde habitó y frecuentó desde su nacimiento hasta su muerte, en diferentes zonas de Córdo-ba, sus alrededores y de la provincia, con una gran profusión de fotografías, ilustraciones y tex-tos, en español e inglés.
La Ruta de Manolete ha contado con la cola-boración de expertos del mundo del toro y con el archivo fotográfico de Museos Municipales del Ayuntamiento de Córdoba.

THE CORDOBA LOCAL TOURIST BOARDCREATES THE MANOLETE ROUTE
To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth and the 60th anniversary of the death of Manuel Rodríguez Sánchez “Manolete”, the Cordoba Local Tourist Board has established the “Manolete Route”.
A new tourist service created to spread aware-ness of the city’s rich historical, artistic and cul-tural heritage via such a famous person from Cordoba as “Manolete”.
The Manolete Route highlights the main mile-stones connected with the bullfighter, the places where he lived and frequented from his birth to his death, in different areas of Cordoba, its surrounding areas and province, with a large number of photographs, illustrations and texts in Spanish and English.
The Manolete Route has involved the collabo-ration of experts from the world of bullfighting and the photographic archive of the Municipal Museums of the City Council of Cordoba.

NOCHES DE EMBRUJO DE CÓRDOBA: UN PROGRAMA CON MÁS REPERCUSIÓN CADA AÑO
Noches de Embrujo de Córdoba celebra este año su cuarta edición. Este programa que envuel-ve a la capital y la provincia con múltiples activi-dades culturales y de ocio durante las noches del verano cuenta cada año con más repercusión.

Córdoba acogerá una cumbre sobre turismo y religión promovida por la Organización Mundial del Turismo: Será la “Conferencia In-ternacional sobre Turismo y Religión: un aporte al diálogo de las civilizaciones” y se desarrollará los días 29, 30 y 31 de octubre
Recuperación del turismo extranjero: Mayo ha dejado unos datos turísticos muy positivos para la capital. Los viajeros se han incrementado en un 2,11%, las pernoctaciones en un 5,12%, siendo en ambos casos el turismo extranjero el que más ha destacado
El 1 de junio Noches de Embrujo de Córdo-ba 2007 fue presentado en el Casino de Ma-drid ante numerosos medios de comunicación, agencias de viaje, turoperadores e instituciones del sector turístico. El eco del que se han hecho gran cantidad de medios de prensa, publicacio-nes y medios audiovisuales, demuestran el re-conocimiento cada vez mayor que esta iniciativa está recibiendo.

Por otro lado, el que aumenten las entidades pa-trocinadoras también corrobora esta afirmación: En 2007 son la Fundación Cajasur, la Fun-dación Prasa, RENFE, Turismo Andaluz y el Ayuntamiento de Córdoba los que realizan aportaciones. Además colaboran el Patronato Provincial de Turismo de Córdoba, Tures-paña y Hostecor.
Como novedad, Noches de Embrujo de Cór-doba introduce este año distintos paquetes tu-rísticos compuestos por alojamiento, transporte y un evento de Noches de Embrujo de Cór-doba que se comercializan a través los turopera-dores Transhotel y Aviotren y se ofrecen en más de 70.000 agencias de viajes de toda Europa.

NIGHTS OF CHARM IN CORDOBA: A PROGRAMME WITH MORE IMPACTEVERY YEAR
The fourth Nights of Charm in Cordoba 2007 will be held this year. This programme, which envelops the capital and the province in a multitude of cultural and leisure activities during summer evenings has more and more impact every year.
The Nights of Charm in Cordoba 2007 was presented in the Madrid Casino before numerous media, travel agencies, tour operators and institu-tions in the tourist sector on 1 June. The interest shown by a large number of the press, publica-tions and audiovisual media proves the increasing recognition this initiative is receiving.
Moreover, the fact that the number of sponsoring entities is also rising corroborates this statement. The following are making contributions in 2007: Fundación Cajasur, Fundación Prasa, REN-FE, Turismo Andaluz (Andalusian Tourism) and the City Council of Cordoba. Also collab-orating are the Provincial Board of Tourism of Cordoba, Turespaña and Hostecor.
This year, the Nights of Charm in Cordoba 2007 is introducing a new feature, different tourist packages comprising accommodation, transport and an event in the Nights of Charm in Cordoba programme. The packages are be-ing sold by the tour operators Transhotel and Aviotren and are being offered in over 70,000 travel agencies throughout Europe.

2. CULTURAL NEWS EUTOPÍA07: UN GRANDIOSO FESTIVAL DE JÓVENES CREADORES
Más de cien actividades conforman la programa-ción del Festival Internacional de la Crea-ción Joven Eutopía07 que el Instituto Andaluz de la Juventud celebrará en Córdoba entre los días 14 y 22 de septiembre. Este evento arrancará con el grupo Comediants, que pondrá en marcha un espectáculo que conjuga pirotec-nia, teatro y pasacalles.
La programación de Eutopía07 enmarca en las Noches Eutópicas una serie de espectáculos en los que tendrán cabida la poesía, el flamenco, la canción de autor y la música que actualmente se realiza en diferentes partes del mundo. Así, habrá actuaciones de Fangoria, Los Ronaldos, Nacha Pop, Paul Weller, Travis, Rinôçerôse, Naw-ja Nimri, Nawja Jean y muchos más.
Eutopía07 también incluye cinco grandes ex-posiciones, entre las que destaca una Muestra Internacional de Arte Digital y otra de jóve-nes creadores contemporáneos del continente africano.
Por otro lado, Eutopía07 ofertará un programa formativo que engloba nueve talleres abiertos a jóvenes creadores. Se celebrarán entre los días 17 y 21 y abarcarán disciplinas tales como la literatura, la cocina o la cultura digital.
En el apartado Creaciones in Situ destaca el Festival de Cine Instantáneo que consiste en el rodaje de un corto en un tiempo limitado de 24 horas. En esta ocasión, tres directores con-sagrados, Santiago Amodeo, el nominado a los Oscar Nacho Vigalondo y la realizadora Gracia Querejeta, participarán fuera de concurso, reali-zando sus cortos.
Escritores a sueldo es otra iniciativa a través de la cual los escritores Andrés Neuman, Joaquín Pérez Azaústre y Elena Medel, ocuparán espacios singulares de Córdoba para escribir los textos que por encargo les soliciten los transeúntes.
Por otro lado, el realizador Fernando León de Aranoa, impartirá un taller de guión. Más talle-res: de relato, de Beatboxing, que es el arte de simular sonidos con la boca, taller de Vj, de cómic, taller Web 2.0 y de Arquitecturas Colectivas.

EUTOPÍA07: A MAGNIFICENT FESTIVAL OF YOUNG CREATORS
Over one hundred activities form the program-ming of the International Festival of Young Creation Eutopía07, which the Andalusian Youth Institute will hold in Cordoba between 14 and 22 September. This event will be start-ed by the group Comediants, which will perform a show combining fireworks, theatre and pas-sacaglia.
The Eutopía07 programming will include a se-ries of performances in the Eutopica Evenings, such as poetry, flamenco, singer-songwriters and the music that is currently being played in different parts of the world. As a result, there will be performances by Fangoria, Los Ronal-dos, Nacha Pop, Paul Weller, Travis, Rinôçerôse, Nawja Nimri, Nawja Jean and many more.
Eutopía07 also includes five large exhibitions, of which the most noteworthy is an International
Exhibition of Digital Art and another of young contemporary creators from the African continent.
In addition, Eutopía07 will offer a training pro-gramme encompassing new workshops for young creators. They will take place between 17 and 21 and they will cover disciplines such as literature, cooking and digital culture.
The Creations in Situ section includes the Festival of Instantaneous Film, which con-sists of filming a short in a limited time period of 24 hours. On this occasion, three hallowed directors will participate by making their shorts outside the competition: Santiago Amodeo, the Oscar nominated Nacho Vigalondo and the producer Gracia Querejeta.
Writers for hire is another initiative in which the writers Andrés Neuman, Joaquín Pérez Aza-ústre and Elena Medel will occupy special areas in Cordoba to write the texts that passers-by commission them to do.
Furthermore, the producer Fernando León de Aranoa will give a scriptwriting workshop. Other workshops: storytelling, Beatboxing, which is the art of simulating sounds with your mouth, Vj workshop, comics, Web 2.0 and Collective Architecture workshop.

LA CIUDAD DE L@S NIÑ@S: LA MAYOR ÁREA DE JUEGOS INFANTILES DE CÓRDOBA
El pasado mes de abril, el Ayuntamiento de Cór-doba inauguró la mayor área de juegos infantiles de la ciudad: La Ciudad de l@s Niñ@s. Se tra-ta del único recinto de este tipo en España que está unido a zonas verdes consolidadas en un gran espacio, ocupando una extensión de cuatro hectáreas.
La Ciudad de l@s Niñ@s dispone de treinta uni-dades de juegos infantiles que a su vez se divi-den en otras más pequeñas. Aunque la mayoría son juegos que ya existen en otros parques, algunos de ellos han sido diseñados especial-mente para este proyecto y hacen alusión a elementos propios de la ciudad. Así tenemos el gran multijuego “Vulcano-Mezquita” y el gran juego de agua llamado “El Río”.
Otro de los elementos destacados es la pista de skate y patín que es atendida por un grupo de monitores especializados.
El recinto cuenta con aseos, mobiliario urbano y dos kioscos-bar adaptados tanto para mayo-res como para los más pequeños. También está dotado con botiquín para pequeñas curas. Está
rodeado por una valla perimetral de colores y con los elementos adaptados a personas con movilidad reducida.
Todos los elementos utilizados (juegos y pavi-mentos) tienen sus correspondientes certifica-dos de seguridad.

THE CIUDAD DE L@S NIÑ@S: THE LARGEST CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA IN CORDOBA
Last April, the City Council of Cordoba opened the largest children’s playground in the city, the Ciudad de l@s Niñ@s. It is the only complex of its type in Spain, which is next to consolidated green areas in a large space, occupying an area of four hectares.
The Ciudad de l@s Niñ@s has thirty units of play equipment, which, in turn are divided into smaller units. Although the majority is equip-ment that already exists in other parks, some of the units have been designed especially for this project and they allude to typical elements in the city. As a result, we have the large multi-unit known as “Volcano-Mosque” and a large water unit called “The River”.
Another of the outstanding elements is the skate and skateboard park, which is staffed by a group of specialised monitors.
The complex has toilets, street furniture and two bar kiosks for both adults and small children. There is also a first aid kit for minor injuries. It is surrounded by a coloured perimeter fence and it has elements for people with reduced mobility.
All the elements used (equipment and surfac-ing) have their corresponding safety certificates.
