UNA NOCHE DE CIGARROS,BEBIDAS Y AMIGOS DURANTE EL CIGAR & SPIRIT NIGHT EN EL BLUE BAR DEL HOTEL JARAGUA

En una fresca noche de verano, dis-frutamos del evento Cigar & Spirit Night, organizado por Iván Reynoso y su compañía Skip Productions, en

el Blue Bar del Hotel Renaissance Jaragua.Las empresas La Aurora, Cigar Country y Bávaro Cigars proporcionaron los ciga-rros que se degustaron y Dewar’s 12, La Enoteca, Ron Columbus, Evan Williams Bourbon, Botran y Ron Atlántico, las be-bidas espirituosas que junto al chocolate Kah Kow nos hicieron pasar una agradable velada envueltos en la armoniosa música del maestro del saxofón Sandy Gabriel. En la actividad se realizó uno subasta de cigarros para recaudar fondos para el “Ho-gar Nido de Ángeles”.

On a cool summer evening, we enjoyed the Cigar & Spirit Night event, organized by Iván Reynoso and his company Skip Produc-

tions, in the Blue Bar at the Hotel Renais-sance Jaragua.Companies La Aurora, Cigar Country and Bávaro Cigars provided the cigars that were tasted, and Dewar’s 12, La Enoteca, Ron Columbus, Botran, Atlantic Rum and Evan Williams Bourbon the spirits bevera-ges that together with chocolate Kah Kow made for a pleasant evening wrapped in the harmonious music of the Saxophone’s Master, Sandy Gabriel.In the activity was performed a cigar auc-tion to fundraiser for the Home “Nido de Ángeles”.

SE REALIZÓ UN EXQUISITO MARIDAJE ENTRE LOS RONES BRUGAL XVY BRUGAL 1888 CON LOS CIGARROS DAVIDOFF GENÉVE

HENDRIK HELNER EN LA CIUDAD DE PUERTO PLATA

Para iniciar la Cata Pri-vada, el Maestro Ro-nero Gustavo Ortega Zeller, miembro de la

quinta generación de la Familia Brugal, inició con la presen-tación de los rones Brugal XV y Brugal 1888. El primero en degustar fue el Brugal XV, una mezcla de los mejores enveje-cidos que posee la centenaria casa en sus bodegas y el últi-mo ron en lanzarse al mercado. Pudimos Catar en Vista: que es brillante, con una hermosa tonalidad cristalina. En nariz: suave y aromático, con una ligera presencia de notas ama-deradas. Con trazas de cara-melo, mieles y frutos secos. En Boca, es suave, afrutado y ligeramente dulce. Para un final agradable, ligero y muy balanceado.El Brugal 1888, es un ron doble-mente destilado y añejado en barricas de roble americano y terminado el proceso en barri-cas de roble de Jerez. En vista es un ron color ámbar oscuro. En nariz es ligeramente tostado y olor amaderado. En boca, dulce y con bocanadas de humo de madera.A continuación de la Cata del ron, el Maestro Tabaquero Hendrick Kelner lo maridó con un cigarro Winston Churchill, de la casa Davidoff. La marca Winston Churchill, fue lanzada a finales de 2007 como una colaboración entre Davidoff of Geneva y el nieto de Sir Winston Churchill. Es un delicioso cigarro, con una agra-dable combinación de sabores terrosos, abundantes notas de café y suficiente dulzura en el paladar. El cigarro tiene un final tostado agradable.Para finalizar la exclusiva vela-da entre amigos, disfrutamos de unos deliciosos dulces de “Cosas de mi País”, gracia a Analía Durán.

To start Private Tasting, the Rum Master Gustavo Ortega Zeller, a member of the fifth generation of the Brugal fa-

mily, began with the presentation of the rum Brugal XV and Brugal 1888. The first taste was the Brugal XV, a blend of the best that has in their ce-llars and the last rum in the market.We could taste in view: it’s bright, with beautiful crystal shade. Nose: Soft and aromatic, with a slight pre-sence of woody notes. With hints of caramel, honey and nuts. The palate is soft, fruity and slightly sweet. For a nice finish, lightweight and very balanced.The Brugal 1888 is twice distilled and aged in American oak barrels before a finish in Spanish oak sherry casks. A delicious dark rum. Nose: Toasty and sweet with charred oak, dates and honey, with a touch of gentle smoke. Palate: sweet and wafts of wood smoke.Following to the Rum Tasting, the Ci-gar Master Hendrik Kelner, paired the rum with a Winston Churchill Cigars by Davidoff House.The Winston Churchill brand, which was launched in late 2007 as a colla-boration between Davidoff of Geneva and Sir Winston Churchill’s grandson. is a delicious smoke, with a pleasant combination of earthy flavors, hearty coffee bean notes and just enough sweetness on the palate. The cigar has a pleasant toasty finish.To end the exclusive evening with friends, we enjoyed some delicious sweets from “Stuff my Country”, thanks to Analia Durán.
