ESNE FEELMOTION 18 BASES
ESNE - University School of Design, Technology and Innovation, calls the 7th Edition ESNE
Feelmotion 2018, International Short Film Festival for Designers .
1. PARTICIPATION TERMS
• ESNE students: students registered in ESNE - University School of Design, Technology and
Innovation, and belonging to any degree given at the school.
• ESNE alumni: ESNE graduates in any of the degrees given at the school.
• Pre-university students: students who are reading pre-university studies in any centre,
whether public or private, of the national territory (Spain) at the moment of submitting the short
film.
• Students from other universities: students registered in any international university,
whether public or private.
Film schools are excluded.
2. GENERAL BASES
1. Duration of the short film shall not exceed 7 minutes.
2. The subject of the submitted pieces is free, except in the case of the Japan special
section, as explained in chapter 3.
3. Films must be exported with the following settings: H264, mp4, dimensions 1920 x
1080p or 1280 X 1080p, 48 MHz.
4. The official language of all the short films is Spanish or English. If any film has dialogue in
a other languages, it must have Spanish or English subtitles.
5. The number of short films any participant can submit is unlimited.
6. All short films must be original and unpublished.
7. Any short films with xenophobe or sexist content, or which promote encouragement of
either illegal substance consumption or violent behaviour, may be dismissed by the festival’s
management.
8. Any award for any category may remain null and void if the entries do not match the
quality requirements expected from the festival’s management, of if less than 4 entries have been
submitted in said category.
3. AWARDS AND CATEGORIES
OFFICIAL SECTION
The short films will be divided into 7 categories:

There will be 4 finalists per category. The finalists will be able to choose a total of 20 prizes,
consisting of an original trophy and an accrediting diploma:
• Best dramatic fiction short film
• Best comedy fiction short film
Best documentary short film
• Best animation short film
• Best video art
• Best music video
• Best commercial
• Best direction
• Best original script
• Best original soundtrack
• Best editing
• Best photography
• Best art direction
• Best costume design
• Best actor
• Best actress
• Best character design
• Best layout design
• Audience Award for the best short film of the year
• Jury Award for the best short film of the year *
* The triple Jury Prize for the best short film of the year consists of a trophy and a diploma, the
Special Prize of Distribution (awarded by the distributor Promofest and which consists of a
personalized management of the distribution of said short film during the following year in
national festivals and international), and 300 euros in cash.
SPECIAL SECTIONS
In addition, 2 special prizes will be awarded:
• Young Special Award
The special young prize will be awarded to the best short film sent by high school students and
ESO in Spanish territory. It will proceed complying with the general rules, although it will not enter
the competition with the rest of the shorts. The special prize will consist of a free registration in
one of the summer camps organized by ESNE between July 2 and July 13, 2018.
• Japan special prize
The special Japan prize will be given to the short film that best reflects some element of Japanese
culture and will be delivered by the Embassy of Japan. It will proceed complying with the general
rules, although it will not enter the competition with the rest of the shorts. The special prize will
consist of a batch of Japanese products awarded by the embassy.
4. SELECTION AND VOTING PROCESS
STAGE 1
1. The person interested in participating must fill out the registration form and upload their video
to Click for festivals (https://www.clickforfestivals.com/) from March 7 to April 20, 2018.
2. A Professional Committee will make the selection of finalists. The Committee will be made up of
specialists, 3 in each category. The list of the selection committee by categories will be announced
on April 20, coinciding with the deadline of the short film delivery.
3. The short films will be announced on May 7, 2018 on the Festival website (feelmotion.esne.es).
4. There will be a total of 4 short films finalists for each category, which would add a total of 28
finalist works. The 28 finalists will be awarded 5 clicks (or free shipping to 5 festivals).
5. The 28 finalist shorts can be seen in the 'finalists' section of the Festival website. In addition,
they will be shown at the 'Cines Dreams' on Sunday, May 21, 2018. In said exhibition the public
will be able to vote by anonymous ballot.
6. The 28 finalist shorts will be published on the Festival website where the public can vote 'online'
through their visualizations on our YouTube channel. The most watched short film until 12pm on
May 25th + ballot votes made at the Dreams Cinemas on Sunday 21, will make up the 'Audience
Award for Best Short of the Year'.
STAGE 2
1. After the public communication of the 28 finalists, the Festival's Professional Jury will watch
these short films to decide the winners of the Seventh Edition of the ESNE Feelmotion Short Film
Festival. The Jury will be composed of audiovisual professionals (no less than 5 and no more than
9). The Professional Jury will be confirmed on Monday, May 7 next to the list of finalists.
2. Prizes will be announced during the Awards Gala, on Friday, May 25, 2018.
5. LEGAL ISSUES
1. All short films must anticipate the corresponding authorizations and/or copyright.
Participants guarantee that their short films do not violate any exploitation rights, honor property
rights, privacy and image rights, intellectual property rights or any other rights that might violate
the applicable law. In this regard, the Feelmotion festival’s management denies any legal
responsibility over the entries submitted and their content.
2. Participation in the festival grants the festival’s management consent to use, reproduce,
spread, print, publish, and disclose over any medium or platform the name of the director,
performers and team, as well as the exhibition and projection of the short films submitted with
promotional interests for ESNE and ESNE Feelmotion.
3. ESNE Feelmotion reserves the right to carry out modifications on the current bases or
add addendums regarding the selection and awards mechanic. Any changes or addendums must
be properly justified and will be announced during the festival. Under no circumstance should
these changes be prejudicial to the participants.
6. BASES ACCEPTANCE
Participation in the festival implies the complete acceptance of these bases. Any queries or

FEELMOTION18 VII International Short Film Festival for Designers
BASES ESNE FEELMOTION18 ESNE- Escuela Universitaria de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología convoca la VII Edición de
FEELMOTION, International Short Film Festival for Designers; festival de cortometrajes de ESNE
y plataforma de experimentación audiovisual de referencia de Madrid.
1. CONDICIONES DE PARTICIPACIÓN
En Feelmotion pueden participar:
Alumnos de ESNE: Alumnos matriculados en ESNE- Escuela Universitaria de Diseño,
Innovación y Tecnología pertenecientes a cualquier Titulación impartida en la Escuela
Universitaria (incluidos ESTEC y ESNE Oviedo)
Alumni de ESNE: Graduados de ESNE en cualquiera de los estudios impartidos en la
Escuela Universitaria siempre que sea una producción propia.
Alumnos de Bachillerato o la ESO: Alumnos que en el momento de presentación del
cortometraje a concurso estén cursando 1º o 2º de Bachillerato O 3º y 4º de la ESO, en
cualquier centro del territorio nacional, ya sea público o privado.
Alumnos de grado otras Universidades de cualquier territorio nacional o
internacional.
Serán excluidos los alumnos de Escuelas de Cine.
2. BASES GENERALES
1. La duración de los cortometrajes no podrán exceder los 7 minutos de duración.
2. La temática de las obras presentadas es libre (excepto en el caso de la sección espacial
Japón, como se explica en el cap.3)
3. Los cortos tendrán que estar exportados en H264. Mp4, y en formato 1920 x 1080p o
1280 X 1080p, y a 48hz a ser posible.
4. El idioma oficial de los cortometrajes presentados será el español En caso de tener
diálogos en cualquier otro idioma deberán estar subtitulados en español.
5. El número de cortometrajes que cada participante puede presentar a concurso es
ilimitado.
6. Los cortometrajes presentados deberán ser originales e inéditos.
7. Los cortometrajes con contenido xenófobo, sexista o que inciten al consumo de
sustancias ilegales o al comportamiento violento podrán ser descatalogados por la
Dirección del Festival.
8. Cualquier premio podrá quedar desierto si no cumple con los requisitos de calidad
exigidos por la Organización del Festival y si no hay un mínimo de 4 cortometrajes
presentados en la categoría a la que corresponda.
3. PREMIOS Y CATEGORIAS
SECCION OFICIAL
Los cortos finalistas se dividirán en 7 categorías:

Habrá 4 finalistas por categoría. Los finalistas podrán optar a un total de 20 premios,
consistentes en un trofeo original y un diploma acreditativo:

Mejor corto de ficción cómica
Mejor corto documental
Mejor corto de animación
Mejor videoarte
Mejor videoclip
Mejor corto comercial
Mejor dirección
Mejor guión original
Mejor banda sonora original
Mejor edición
Mejor fotografía
Mejor dirección de arte
Mejor vestuario y estilismo
Mejor interpretación masculina
Mejor interpretación femenina
Mejor diseño de personajes
Mejor diseño de escenarios y fondos
Premio del Público al mejor corto del año
Premio del Jurado al mejor corto del año
El triple Premio del Jurado al mejor corto del año consiste en un trofeo y diploma acreditativo,
el Premio especial de Distribución (otorgado por la distribuidora Promofest y que consiste en
una gestión personalizada de la distribución de dicho corto durante el siguiente año en
festivales nacionales e internacionales), y 300 euros en metálico.
SECCIONES ESPECIALES
Además se otorgarán 2 premio especiales:
Premio especial Joven
El premio especial Joven será entregado al mejor corto enviado por alumnos de
bachillerato y la ESO del territorio español. Se procederá cumpliendo las bases
generales, aunque no entrará a la competición con el resto de cortos. El premio
especial consistirá en una matrícula gratuita en uno de los campamentos de
verano organizados por ESNE entre el 2 y el 13 de julio del 2018.
Premio especial Japón
El premio especial Japón será entregado al cortometraje que mejor plasme algún
elemento de la cultura japonesa y será entregado por la Embajada de Japón. Se
procederá cumpliendo las bases generales, aunque no entrará a la competición
con el resto de cortos. El premio especial consistirá en un lote de productos
japoneses otorgados por la embajada.
4. PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN Y VOTACIÓN (SECCIÓN OFICIAL)
FASE 1
1. La persona interesada en participar deberá rellenar el formulario de inscripción y subir su
video a Click for festivals ( https://www.clickforfestivals.com/ ) desde el día 7 de marzo
hasta el día 20 de abril del 2018.
2. Un Comité de profesionales realizará la selección de finalistas. El Comité estará formado por
especialistas, 3 en cada categoría. La lista del Comité de selección por categorías se dará a
conocer el día 20 de abril, coincidiendo con el deadline de la entrega de cortos.
3. Los cortometrajes finalistas se darán a conocer el día 7 de mayo del 2018 en la web del
Festival (feelmotion.esne.es).
4. Habrá un total de 4 cortometrajes finalistas por cada categoría, lo que sumaría un total de
28 obras finalistas. A los 28 finalistas se les otorgarán 5 clicks (o envios gratuitos a 5 festivales).
5. Los 28 cortos finalistas se podrán visionar en la sección 'finalistas' de la web del Festival.
Además, serán exhibidos en los 'Cines Dreams' el domingo 21 de mayo del 2018. En dicha
exhibición el público podrá votar mediante papeleta anónima.
6. Los 28 cortos finalistas serán publicados en la web del Festival donde el público podrá votar
de manera 'online' a través de sus visualizaciones en nuestro canal de Youtube. El corto más
visto hasta las 12h del 25 de mayo + los votos por papeleta realizados en los Cines Dreams el
domingo 21, conformarán el 'Premio del público al Mejor corto del año'.
FASE 2
1. Tras la comunicación pública de los 28 finalistas, el Jurado Profesional del Festival visionará
dichos cortos para decidir el palmarés de la VII Edición del Festival de Cortometrajes ESNE
Feelmotion. El Jurado estará compuesto por profesionales del medio audiovisual (no menos de
5 y no más de 9). El Jurado Profesional será confirmado el lunes 7 de mayo junto a la lista de
finalistas.
2. Los premios serán comunicados durante la Gala de entrega de premios, el viernes 25 de
mayo del 2018.
5. CUESTIONES LEGALES
1. Todos los cortometrajes participantes deberán contar con las autorizaciones y/o derechos
de autor. En este sentido los participantes garantizan que los cortometrajes no vulneran
ningún derecho de explotación, derechos de honor, intimidad e imagen, derechos de
Propiedad intelectual o cualquier otro derecho que pudiera vulnerar la legislación vigente. En
este sentido, la organización del Festival de cortometrajes ESNE Feelmotion declina toda
responsabilidad legal sobre las obras presentadas a concurso y su contenido.
2. La participación en el certamen otorga el consentimiento y autorización a la Organización
del Festival a utilizar, reproducir, divulgar, imprimir, publicar y difundir a través de cualquier
medio o plataforma el nombre del director, intérpretes y equipo técnico, así como la
exhibición y proyección de las imágenes presentadas para la promoción de ESNE y ESNE
Feelmotion.
3. ESNE Feelmotion se reserva el derecho a realizar modificaciones sobre las presentes bases o
añadir anexos sucesivos sobre la mecánica de selección y premios. Los cambios o anexos serán
debidamente justificados y se comunicarán durante el transcurso del concurso. En ningún caso
perjudicarán a los participantes.
6. ACEPTACIÓN DE LAS BASES
La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación íntegra de las presentes bases. Para
