Es la posición neutral del cuerpo humano.

Divide al cuerpo en mitad derecha y mitad izquierda.

Divide al cuerpo en mitad (cara) anterior y mitad (cara) posterior.

Se llama plano transversal a todos aquellos planos que seccionan al cuerpo humano de forma transversal a su eje.
