Apic Utopia (Alliance for the community integration) is a Mexican Civil Association, we have as main activity the attention to Girls, Boys and Adolescents in conditions of vulnerability, we work through three main pillars; community, education (mathematical and writing and reading skills), and sport for development and psychosocial skills.
Utopia works closely with national and international organizations this fact allows in a systematic way, addressed the specific problems of each of the users.
OUR MISION
Promote community integration; reduce the levels of poverty and violence of our beneficiaries through educational and sports interventions, promoting their full development and society inclusion.

By the year 2020, ensure decent living conditions for our beneficiaries, through actions that promote harmonious development and social inclusion, as well as positioning ourselves at a national and international level, as a professional association with a high level of impact

Working Context
In the last report carried out by CONEVAL and UNICEF (2014), it reports that one out of every two children and adolescents in Mexico is poor.
We serve children and young people who work and live in the municipal garbage dump of Chimalhuacán. This population doesn´t have access to basic services such as:

About the Mexico State, about of 59.0% of the population from 0 to 17 years are in poverty situation; namely, 3.1 million girls, boys and adolescents, lack the minimum conditions to guarantee the exercise of one or more of their social rights.
Article 36 of the General Law of Social Development (LGDS, for its acronym in Spanish) states that poverty must be measured using eight dimensions (not only income)

Chimalhuacán is among the 50 most violent in Mexico, and was declared (along with 10 other municipalities) in 2015 by the Ministry of the Interior through the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence against Women as Alert Area of gender violence.
TARGET POPULATION
This project focuses on the attention of children and adolescents with an age range of 5 and 17 years, from the Escalerillas neighborhood of the municipality of Chimalhuacán, State of Mexico, in extreme poverty
