I just wanted to thank all those parents/carers who supported our coffee afternoon last Thursday, by either making or sending in cakes and/or turning up at school to help to eat them. It was a great afternoon and we managed to raise just over £120, so a very big thank you to one and all.

We are still seeing
parents using their
phones on the
playground, and even
within the school
building. Staff will
approach you and ask
you to put your phones
away.
Headlice…
Once a week
Take a peek
Due to very limited interest, Mrs Ives is no longer holding Story Time on a Wednesday.
Calling all Parents with children in
Reception and Year 1.
Mr Smith and Miss Gray will be giving a
phonics (sounds) demonstration on
Wednesday 10th October, from 2:30pm.
We would love you to come along and
learn how to help your child with their
reading. Look forward to seeing you.
99 is the most children we have ever had
‘On Gold’! Do you think we can reach 100?
Did you know… We give an award on a Friday to the child who has demonstrated our school value well during the week?
October is here already! How did the
first month of the school year pass by
so quickly? I am amazed every day by
the incredible learning, actions and
words I see at school by the lovely
young people. I was thanked by a
Reception child last week for helping
them learn. Another child said how
much they enjoy their learning and
were never bored in class. What does
your child say to you about school?
What lessons do they really enjoy? Do
they know what job they would like
when they are older?

Author James Campbell
came in to share his love
of writing with the
children. Many children
were inspired by his story.
Please note that we are due
an OFSTED visit this term.
A visit from Logan—a Hearing Assistance Dog for the Deaf.
Veronica brought Logan to school and talked about the ways he helps her with her life. He will alert her to when there is a knock at the door, when there is a danger, and also as a companion. Hopefully Logan and Veronica will visit us again.
30 children went out to play football.
They all proudly played for our school
teams. The Key Stage 1 team came
back with winners medals, the other
two teams showed amazing skill and
good sportsmanship! Well done.
Please do remember that class teachers are the first port of call with issues regarding your child. They can be seen, by prior arrangements, at a mutually convenient time.
If you would like to come in and talk to a member of the Senior Leadership Team please ask the office staff to book you a time. Please note, it is also possible to ask for a telephone discussion if this is more convenient.
