Grade Requirements •  A  student  must  have  completed  12  Baylor  hours  and  

obtain  a  2.67  cumulative  GPA.  –  Many  organizations  require  all  potential  new  members  to  have  a  higher  

GPA  to  join  their  individual  chapter.    

•  Transfer  Students  –  A  student  is  considered  a  transfer  if  they  have  attended  a  college  

during  a  fall  or  spring  semester  AFTER  high  school  graduation.  –  Transfer  grades  do  NOT  apply  to  the  Baylor  GPA  –  Minimum  of  24  transfer  hours    –  Transfer  GPA  of  a  3.0    

•  Grades  are  NOT  rounded  up  in  determining  eligibility.

Traditions Rally BBQ Recruitment begins (8/25/16) Showcase (8/30/16) No Shave November

•  All men must register, attend Effectively Developing Greeks, meet academic standards, and pay a $25 registration fee to be eligible

•  Recruitment occurs in both the fall and spring

•  Attend more than one chapter’s events, use the fall!

•  Be balanced, get involved.

How to know if it’s right for you? •  Want  to  meet  new  people?    •  Want  a  sisterhood/brotherhood  bond  with  a  group  of  women/men?    

•  Are  you  able  to  balance  school  work  and  social  activities?  •  Are  you  willing  to  give  back  to  your  community,  school,  philanthropies,  etc?    

•  Have  you  researched  the  different  groups  and  opportunities?    

•  Have  you  attended  any  events  to  get  to  know  members?

•  Think  about    – Where  you  feel  comfortable  – What  you’re  looking  for  from  your  experience  – Who’s  values,  interests,  philanthropy,  or  vision  align  with  yours?
