CAVIAHUE the ideal place to rest and enjoy the nature. During the summer, many activities can be done to enjoy the nature such as watching birds ,mountain biking, walking for recognition of flora and fauna in the Park.Besides, if you want to learn about the Mapuche culture, there are scheduled visits to their sites. Local guides and travel agencies offer excursions to the different attractions in the area. Some of them are: COPAHUE VOLCANO:you can climb it on foot, by horseback o 4x4 truck but always accompanied by a local guide. Remember it is an active volcano so it is advisable to consult about possible ascending restrictions at the Tourist Office. AGRIO FALL: it is located 15 km to the northwest of the park. It is a magnificent waterfall of about 45 mts high located in a large cliff which is the result of successive lava flows in ancient volcanic eruptions. AGRIO CASCADES: they are located 1 km from Caviahue Villa among Araucaria forests and graze. It is a nice walk but not very demanding on uneven ground. It is advisable to respect the trails. ROCK BRIDGE: it spans over a large cavity, tube tilting shape about 60 degrees to the basal part of the cliff and whose centre axis is longer than the transverse. The bridge, with a fairly even surface, is about 16 mts long and 5 mts wide.A thickness raises between the top of the bridge and the small beach at the basis of the cliff, reaching a height of about 50 mts. HIDDEN WATERFALL: it is located about 3 kms to the west of Caviahue surrounded by a great vaiety of autoctonous flora.It is a cascade of melting water about 20 mts high only accesible on foot or by bicycle. HIDDEN LAGOON: it is a small lagoon located on top of the hill in the western side of Caviahue Village. On its way, you can enjoy magnificente views of the town and Caviahue Lake as well as a variety of flora and fauna.The trails are of moderate difficulty with little slope.
