SUSPENSOS: como todas las semanas y, tal y como ya os he ido indicando por correo, acordaos que tenéis que enviarme los ejercicios a idopico@edu.xunta.es . Las actividades de “Arts and Crafts”, “Listen and sing”, repaso de teoría, o que sean de ejercicios online en los que no se puede copiar la respuesta, NO LAS HAY QUE ENTREGAR.

FECHA DE ENTREGA: hasta el DOMINGO 31 DE MAYO a las 21:00 MÁXIMO. Lo que se entregue fuera de plazo no se podrá tener en cuenta porque las soluciones ya estarán disponibles en la web.

Como siempre, no tenéis que imprimir los ejercicios. Podéis hacerlos directamente en un documento de Word o en la libreta anotando el nombre, la fecha, la página, el ejercicio y las respuestas. Para mandarme los ejercicios hechos intentad que en la medida que os sea posible lo hagáis en un documento PDF para que no haya problemas con el formato. En el aviso que os mandé por correo ya os indiqué diferentes posibilidades.

GRAMMAR REVIEW: A/AN, THE & PLURALS

Repasamos el uso del artículo indeterminado en inglés (un/una), el artículo determinado (el/la/los/las)

y la formación de los plurales según las spelling rules del idioma. Vemos unos vídeos primero y después

unas imágenes con el resumen de la teoría.

READING AND WRITING PRACTICE

5. Read the texts about three American festivals. Lee sobre estos tres festivales americanos.

Burning Man

Burning Man is an event that started in 1986 in Black Rock City, Nevada. People go to the desert

and build a giant community for nine days. At the end of the festival, they burn a giant wooden

statue of a man. That’s where the name comes from. The festival celebrates inclusion,

community, and responsibility. Everyone should share their talents so others can enjoy them for

free. It is now also very popular with young influencers on social media and other famous people.

The Taste of Buffalo

The Taste of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, is the largest 2-day food festival in the country every

year. Nearly half a million people visit the festival to eat food from over 50 restaurants. There are

over 200 different dishes to try! Most of the food is from regional restaurants, and it is a great

family event. You can listen to live music from 2 stages, walk through the parks and downtown

as well as participate in a lot of different family-friendly activities.

National Cherry Blossom Festival

The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. is a spring event that remembers the

gift of cherry trees from Japan to the USA in 1912. The trees were a present from the mayor of

Tokyo to the mayor of Washington DC. The first celebration was in 1934. There is a parade every

year with large balloons, marching bands from all over the country, and concerts. There are also

a lot of different shows and events, such as a kite flying festival, a 10-mile run, and fireworks at

night.

Cuando acompañan a un nombre se llaman demonstrative adjectives (adjetivos demostrativos)

Cuando sustituyen a un nombre se llaman demonstrative pronouns (pronombres demostrativos)

Fíjate que son los mismos y los usamos de igual manera:

that/those indican distancia media o lejanía

Possessive adjectives

Los adjetivos posesivos acompañan al sustantivo e indican posesión. Vamos a repasarlos juntos con los

subject pronuns, es decir, junto con los pronombres que realizan la función de sujeto en la oración.

Además, en inglés tenemos una forma especial de indicar posesión que se llama genitivo sajón y lo

indicamos de la siguiente manera: poseedor + ‘s + posesión The cat’s food (La comida del gato). Lo

Y sus soluciones online

SOLUCIONES EJERCICIOS DE LA SEMANA DEL 4 AL 10 DE MAYO

El trabajo de la semana 4 de mayo que se entregue a partir de ahora, como ya están puestas las soluciones, no podrá ser tenido en cuenta. 

Las redacciones (writings) son personales, cada alumno tiene sus respuestas, por lo que no se puede poner una solución.  Lo mismo sucederá con los ejercicios de inventarse oraciones o de dar respuestas personales.

El ejercicio 1 es vocabulario estudiado en clase, simplemente tienen que repasarlo por la lista o buscarlo

en un diccionario. Os indico lo siguiente:

Los verbos en infinitivo en inglés se escriben con “to” delante, por ejemplo, bailar – to dance, y

así aparecen en el crucigrama.

Si la expresión en inglés está formada por más de una palabra, los espacios aparecerán también

en el crucigrama, o, si llevan un guion, este aparecerá también.

Puede haber typos, errores que se producen al escribir en el ordenador y que no coincide algo.
