Centro histórico, donde conocerá el Teatro Angela Peralta y su museo. Este es el teatro mas antiguo en Mazatlán.(El costo de su construcción, en su tiempo, fue de 80 Pesos Mexicanos). El teatro estilo Europeo fue llamado después Ángela Peralta, en honor de la famosa cantante de opera.

Visite el Paseo del Centenario, este Paseo se encuentra sobre el Cerro del

Vigía (Lookout Hill) y fue construido a fines del siglo ante-pasado

para la defensa del Puerto. Cuenta con uno de los tres cañones de

fabricación Inglesa que defendieron el Puerto

de invasiones extranjeras. Has un recorrido por toda la zona dorada

de Mazatlán donde conocera toda la in-fraestructura turistica con la que cuenta

este bello puerto. Se recomienda hacer este paseo en “Pulmonía” Desde 1965 eficientes taxis panorámicos que por una cuota módica te llevan a cualquier rincón del puerto o TROLLEY TOURS. Teatro Angela Peralta

Visite la Catedral de Mazatlán es una monumental y auténtica galería de arte sacro. Construida a finales del siglo XIX, destaca su par de to-rres con azulejos amarillos europeos, mientras que al interior sobresale su altar en mármol de Carrara, una serie de esculturas de variada manufactu-ra, artísticos frescos, elegantes can-diles de cristal cortado y un valioso órgano francés de 1886.

Museo Arqueológico. Los grupos prehispánicos que habitaron el sur de Sinaloa han dejado testimonios culturales que hoy forman parte de la identidad mazatleca y que puedes admirar en el Monumento al pescador . Este monumento, sobre la Avenida del Mar y Ave. Gutiérrez Na-jera, es símbolo del Puerto y muestra mucho del equipo tradicional usado por los osados y vigorosos pescado-res. Realice un paseo en caminata por Malecón el paseo en patines o bicicleta es tradicional para disfrutar de atardeceres fascinantes.

Visit Mazatlan´s Cathedral really a monumental and sacred art gallery. Built in the late nineteenth century, emphasizes its pair of towers with yellow tiles in Europe, while inside his altar stands in Carrara marble, a series of sculptures of various manufacturing, fresh artistic, elegant cut-glass chandeliers and a valuable French organ of 1886.

Archeological Museum. The pre-Hispanic groups that inhabited southern Sinaloa have left behind a wealth of culture that has come to form part of Mazatlán’s identity. You can admire relics of these indigenous civilizations..The Fisherman Monu-ment. This monument between Del Mar Ave and Gutierrez Najera Ave., is a symbol of the port and shows a lot of the traditional equipment used by the bold and vigorous fishermen. Dos o tres días... Two or three days..Faro. Cerro del Creston – Se encuentra sobre la Isla del Creston, junto a las flotas de pesca deportiva. Esta a 152 metros (casi 500 pies) sobre el nivel del mar y se considera el faro más alto natural en el mundo después del de Gibraltar. El edificio que alberga el faro fue construido durante el gobierno de Porfirio

Díaz. El trabajo realizado sobre la Isla del Creston en la década de los 1930’s unió

a la Isla con la ciudad de Mazatlán a través de un elaborado rompeolas.

Los Portales de Cannobio. Sobre la Calle Heriberto Frías

(s/n). Este edificio data del siglo 19 y

forma parte del bloque

que perteneció al ciudadano Italiano

Luis Cannobio. Es el marco de la Plazuela Machado y es

parte esencial de la arquitectura del panorama del antiguo Mazatlán. En el se

exhibe una primorosa colección de mue-bles antiguos (salas, camas, roperos, etc.),

cuadros, vestuario, disfraces, libros y fotogra-fías memorables. Ofrece recorridos guiados previo contacto. (Constitución No. 79, frente a la Plazuela Machado. L-D de10 a 18 hrs. Tel. 669 982 1440). Deguste una cenar especial en los restaurantes favoritos de Plazuela Ma-chado, respire un ambiente bohemio y calido.

Casa del Meteorólogo. Sobre el Cerro del Vigía. También conocido como el Ob-servatorio. Fue construida en 1874. Visite

Playa Las labradas, zona arqueologica que es un petroglifos o petrogrbados en piedras volcanicas. Disfrute los rituales de Yoremes y Mayos en primavera.

Faro. Creston Hill - Located on the island of Creston, near the fishing fleets . It´s from 152 meters (nearly 500 feet) above sea level and is considered the second highest natural lighthouse in the world after Gibraltar. The building that houses the lighthouse was built during the goverment of Porfirio Diaz. The work done on the Island of Creston in the de-cade of the 1930s joined the island with the city of Mazatlan by an elaborate breakwater.

Los Portales Cannobio. It´s located on the Heriberto Frias St. This 19th Century building and part of the block belonged to an Italian citizen Luis Cannobio. It is part of the Plaza Machado and an essential part of the land-scape architecture of the old Mazatlan. The exhibits are antique furniture lovely collec-tions (rooms, beds, wardrobes, etc.),memorable paintings, costumes, books and photographs . Offers guided tours prior contact. The House of Meteorologist. On the Cerro del Vigia. Also known as the Observa-tory. It was built in 1874. Visit Playa Las Labradas, which is an archeological site of petroglyphs in volcanic rocks. Enjoy Yoreme and Mayos rituals in Spring.

A lo largo del recorrido por el Malecón, uno de los más largos del mundo, podrá admirar la belleza natural de la bahía y los monumentos que se han erigido en conmemoración de los distintos acontecimientos históricos y culturales del puerto. Durante una parada en la Glorieta Sán-chez Taboada podrá admirar a los intrépidos clavadistas que se tiran desde las alturas a las aguas rocosas y poco profundas. En el Viejo Mazatlán podrá admirar los aspectos cultura-les más importantes de la vida mazatleca, in-cluyendo el Museo Arqueológico. Este paseo tiene una duración de tres horas y usted tendrá la opción de tomarlo en autobús o trolebús típico, ambos con aire acondicionado.

Make a journey through the main attractions of the beautiful port of Mazatlán, which include the charming and bohemian Old Mazatlán, Golden Zone, the Cathedral, the Market and El Faro (Highlight Tower). Dos o tres días... Two or three days..Isla de la Piedra ofrece sus propias atrac-ciones. Apartada de la modernidad y dividida por el río Presidio, sus extensas y cálidas playas, custodiadas por una larga cortina de cocoteros, se acompañan de algunos hoteles sencillos, zona de trailer parks y típicas pa-lapas donde se ofrecen frescos y deliciosos platillos a base de pescados y mariscos.

Las tres islas. Estas islas, Isla de Pájaros, Isla de Venados y la Isla de Lobos son el sello de Mazatlán. Cada una cuenta con tranquilas playas de fina arena que sedu-cen al visitante para quedarse todo el dia. El transporte a las islas se proporciona por medio de pangas o lanchas pequeñas. Se han encontrado grandes pinturas Botani-cas o rupestres...Cuando paciencia, arte y dedicación se mezclan, suelen culminar en lugares sorprendentes como el Museo de Conchas, que además de ofrecer a la ven-ta infinidad de artesanías marinas, dedica la segunda planta a lucir paredes, vitrinas y una bellísima fuente con miles de con-chas y caracoles de todas formas y colores. La exhibición incluye algunos fósiles marinos y peceras con especies tropicales. Realice un viaje al El Quelite, pueblo que es un ejemplo a nivel nacional del turismo rural. Saboree su gastronomia regional, es rica y variada se encuentra a 30 mins de Mazatlán y en el cual los domingos podra gozar del espectacular Juego del Ulama, show preshispanico.

Stone Island offers it’s own attractions. Away from the hustle and bustle of the port and crossed by the Presidio River, the

island boasts warm beaches with a backdrop of coconut palms. Along the spacious shore sit simple hotels, an area for RVs and some traditional thatched-roof armadas where you can dine on delicious fresh-caught seafood.

The three islands. These islands, Bird Island, Deer Island and Sea lions Island are the hallmark of Mazatlán. Each of them with quiet sandy beaches that seduce visitors to stay all day. Transportation to the islands is provided by small boats or pangas.They have found large botanical paintings, rock paintings and petrogliphs in these islands, a true synthesis of patience, art and dedication. The surprising Sea Shell City Museum sells an endless variety of marine handicrafts made from seashells. In addition, on the second floor you can admire stunning walls, display cases and a beauti-ful fountain adorned with thousands of seashells and snail of all shapes and colors. The exhibit also includes some marine fos-sils and aquariums with tropical species.

Make a trip to “El Quelite”, a town which is a national example of rural tourism. Enjoy regional cuisine the rich and varied, this town is located 30 minutes from Mazatlan and on Sundays you can enjoy the spectac-ular Game of Ulama, a preshispanic show.

Fiestas tradicionales de Mazatlan. Even-tos Culturales: El día de la Música, Concur-so de Escultura en Arena: con ya 4 años de tradición, este evento atrae a artistas de varias partes del mundo los cuales hacen verdaderas obras de arte en arena. También hay stands de bebidas y comida. Feria del marisco: en abril se realiza una muestra gastronómica con platillos elaborados a base de mariscos frescos. Se lleva a cabo en en el Acuario Mazatlán.

The wonders of the Sea of Cortes have found a new home in the Mazatlán Aquar-ium. With 51 tanks showcasing hundreds of exotic species, this living museum also

hosts sea lion shows, exhibition of diving with sharks, and even marine bird shows. Especially impressive is the Pecera Oceánica, a tank measuring 13 meters (43 feet) wide and four meters (13 feet) tall, where you can observe the harmonious coexistence of Manta Rays, sharks and colorful fish up close. Acuario Mazatlán

Justo en la zona hotelera se ubican dos campos de golf, a tan sólo cinco mi-nutos de la mayoría de los hoteles. Los otros dos campos se ubican de 30 a 40 minutos de distancia de los hoteles. Los green fees en Mazatlán son bastante accesibles comparados con el resto de los destinos turísticos de México, desde $75-$95 dólares (temporada baja) a $100-$130 dólares (temporada baja) por 18 hoyos con carrito compartido, incluyendo impuestos.

Eventos tradicionales Semana Santa, Semana de la Moto, Maratón Pacifico, evento deportivo de corte internacional; La copa Gobernador, El triatlón Pacifico, La vuelta Ciclista, y los torneos de golf, tenis y pesca .

Festival Sinaloa de las Artes: cada año y durante 2 semanas del mes de Octubre, se lleva a cabo en Mazatlán este interesante festival de las artes. Los eventos que se ofrecen son: Obras de teatro, opera y música clásica, ballet y conciertos.

La mayoría de los eventos se dan lugar en el área del Centro Histórico.

Festival Cultural Mazatlán:se celebra anualmente entre los meses de Octubre y Diciembre, tal festival expone una muestra muy variada de las artes que incluye: Recital de piano, exposiciones de pintura, conciertos de cuerda y rock, ballet, obras de teatro y opera.

Corridas de Toros: de Diciembre has-ta Semana Santa se celebran corridas de toros cada domingo en la Monu-mental Plaza de Toros de Mazatlán. Destino de matadores de renombre internacional, rejoneadores y forcados de primer nivel.

Just in the hotel´s zone there are two golf fields just five minutes from most of the hotels. The other two fields are located 30 to 40 minutes away from the hotels. Fiesta Brava: December to Easter bullfights are celebrated every Sunday in the Monumental Plaza de Toros of Mazatlan. Destination of inter-national famous matadors and rejoneadores of first level.

Se practica caza y pesca. La temporada del pez vela va del mes de marzo a diciembre, el marlin azul y negro de diciembre a abril. This great festival is celebrated with Mazat-lan floats and costumes, spectacular fireworks and lively music to the sound of “La Tambora.”

El banquete recreativo lo encontrarás 40 km al sur de la ciudad, en Teacapán, peque-ño y apacible pueblo de pescadores que atesora las playas más virginales de la costa sinaloense como La Tambora, Las Lupitas y Cuatro Surcos. La belleza de su entorno ecológico, pleno de exotismo y fascinación, se muestra generoso para disfrutarlo en los paseos en lancha que ofrecen los lugareños y en los que podrás visitar la Isla de Pája-ros (con miles de especies como fragatas, pelícanos, garzas, etc.), la Isla Sumergible (que cuando la marea la descubre se llena de aves) e interminables zonas de manglares. Antes de arribar a Teacapán te encontrarás con el Jardín Botánico, legado del periodista y escritor Antonio Haas, en el que observarás un formidable repertorio de plantas origina-rias de muchas partes del mundo: bambúes, helechos, girasoles, araucarias, etc.

Otro recorrido que ofrecen los lancheros es hacia la Pirámide de Conchas, enig-mática construcción compuesta por capas intercaladas de concha de ostión, pata de

mula y almeja. Su antigüedad se calcula en casi 4 mil años, y se presume que era utiliza-da como centro deadoración de las antiguas culturas que habitaron la zona.

Great recreational opportunities can be found just 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of the city in Teacapán. This small, peaceful fishing village is home to the Sinaloa coast most virgin beaches: La Tambora, Las Lupitas and Cuatro Surcos. The beautiful natural surroundings, filled with tropical foliage and ripe with fascina-tion, generously unfold before the visitor who enjoys one of the tranquil boat rides offered by the locals. On these water tours you can visit Bird Island (with thousands of species such as frigates, pelicans, her-ons, etc.), Sumergible Island (filled with birds when the tide recedes) and seem-ingly endless expanses of mangroves.

Before arriving in Teacapán, you will come upon a Botanical Garden, the legacy of journalist and writer Antonio Haas. Here, you can see an impressive repertoire of

plants from all over the world, including bamboo, ferns, sunflowers, araucarias, and many more. Another boat tour offered by the locals heads towards the Seashells Pyramid, an enigmatic construction comprised of interspersed layers of oyster, blood clam and clam shells. The building is estimated to be nearly 4,000 years old, and it is thought to have been used as a center of worship by the ancient cultures that once inhabited the area.
