Trapped in a life he doesn’t want. Manipulated by his apparently widowed mother. Denied by his “perfect” fiancée. Sent on assignment to Mexico City just days before his wedding. Infatuated with a woman south of the border. Abandoned in "hostile territory" by a suspiciously gay manager and chased by a gang leader who wants him dead when he witnesses a brutal crime. That’s just the beginning of “One Long Night”, a film about self-discovery and the challenges of being of mixed heritage. “One Long Night” is the story of RICHARD MACEDO, a simple, conservative, half Mexican-half Caucasian businessman who ends up kidnapped and robbed by FELIX, leader of a gang he has a run-in with at a local nightclub. After witnessing the gang’s murder of a store owner, Richard escapes only to literally fall into the hands of a pair of drag queens who nearly throw him out of a window thinking he’s a burglar.

He is rescued by PATTY, a performer at the club who just happens to room with one of the queens. They dress Richard up to avoid detection and begin an odyssey filled with misadventure, exotic characters and dangerous situations as Richard tries desperately to get back to what he calls civilization. Along the way he learns that his father still lives, allowing Richard to see the “light”, discovering the man he really is.
