GRAN COLECTA ANUAL LA PRÓXIMO SEMANA El próximo fin de semana será la gran colecta anual para los proyectos especiales para mejorar y mantener todos los edificios que pertenecen a nuestra parroquia. Este año necesitamos empezar el projecto de el nuevo confesionario y la rampa para discapacitados. Muchas gracias por su generosidad. Habrá sobres en la parte de atrás de la parroquia para que las personas no registradas puedan hacer su contribución y tengan la oportunidad de registrarse y formar parte de nuestra familia parroquial solo escriba su nombre, dirección, y número de teléfono. AUMENTO DEL OFERTORIO Muchas gracias por la colecta de la semana pasada en la cual pasamos nuestra meta y obtuvimos un total de $4,669. La asistencia fue de 862 personas en las misas de ese fin de semana. Esto equivale a un promedio de $5.42 por persona en la colecta semanal. Queremos pedirles a cada uno de ustedes. que aporte el doble. Si aportas $5, piensa en aportar $10; si aportas $10, piensa en aportar $20. Si aportas lo que puedas, piensa si puedes aportar el doble. Como comunidad tenemos que hacer el esfuerzo de mejorar el monto semanal de la colecta para lograr una mayor estabilidad y sostenibilidad de la parroquia. Sabemos que cada uno de ustedes hace el esfuerzo y también sabemos que tienen las posibilidades de continuar siendo extremadamente generosos, más de lo que ya son. Muchas gracias.

NUEVOS MIEMBROS PARA LA LEGION DE MARIA Es una gran oportunidad para vivir el Evangelio a través de la intercesión de la Virgen María y rezar en familia. Únase a nosotros los sábados de 2-3pm con oración, informes y discusión, visite a los enfermos o confinados en hogares, ayude a nuestros sacerdotes en diversas tareas y, en general, promueva el trabajo de Jesús. Lo disfrutarás.
MI AGUINALDO PARA SAN BENITO Navidad se acerca y es por eso San Benito estrena un nuevo proyecto llamado mi aguinaldo para San Benito. El fin de semana del 2do de noviembre, estaremos distribuyendo alcancias nombradas mi aguinaldo para San Benito. La idea es que desde el 1ro de noviembre al 25 de diciembre cada familia de la comunidad de San Benito aporte $1 por dia en las alcancias. Esperamos contar con su apoyo para hacer de San Benito una comunidad unida en este proyecto y todos los proyectos por venir. Gracias!

MY CHRISTMAS GIFT TO ST. BENEDICT
Christmas is coming and therefore St. Benedict is launching a new project named my Christmas gift for St. Benedict. On the weekend of November 2nd, we will be distributing the piggy banks. The idea is that from November 1 to December 25, each family in the community of St. Benedict will contribute $ 1 per day to the piggy banks named my Christmas gift for St. Benedict. Thirty-first Sunday of Ordinary Time
There is a simple lesson not to be missed in today’s gospel. You don’t have to be rich or poor, have a high-powered job or are looking for a job for Jesus to come to your house. All that is required is that you open your heart to Him. Zacchaeus was “seeking to see who Jesus was”. The reward for this seeker was an encounter – one that got people talking! Today, people are still seeking to see who Jesus is. Some may be unaware that He is what is missing in their lives. Knowing the impor-tance of Jesus in your own life, is there some-one you know who is a seeker, like Zacchaeus, that you can introduce to Jesus?

Hay una lección sencilla que no debemos ignorar en el Evangelio de hoy. No tienes que ser rico o pobre, o tener un trabajo muy importante para buscar a Jesús, para que él venga tu casa. Todo lo que necesitas es que tu corazón esté abierto a él. Zaqueo estaba “tratando de ver a Jesús”. La recompensa de su búsqueda fue un encuentro, ¡uno que hizo que la gente hablara! Las personas siguen bus-cando porque quieren saber quién es Jesús. Muchos tal vez no se han dado cuenta de que es Jesús lo que les falta en su vida. Conoce la importancia de Jesús en tu propia vida, ¿conoces a alguien que, como Zaqueo, está en una búsqueda para que puedas presentarle a Jesús?
