Act of contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I detest all my sins because of Thyjust punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good anddeserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and avoidthe near occasions of sin. Amen.

Deus meus, ex toto corde poenitet me omnium meorum peccatorum, eaque detestor, quiapeccando, non solum poenas a Te iuste statutas promeritus sum, sed praesertim quia offendiTe, summum bonum, ac dignum qui super omnia diligaris. Ideo firmiter propono, adiuvantegratia Tua, de cetero me non peccaturum peccandique occasiones proximas fugiturum. Amen.

Absolution

Dominus noster Jesus Christus te absolvat; et ego auctoritate ipsius te absolvo ab omni vinculoexcommunicationis (sespensionis) et interdicti in quantum possum et tu indiges. [making the

Sign of the Cross:] Deinde, ego te absolvoa peccatis tuis in nomine Patris, et Filii, et SpiritusSancti. Amen.

English:May our Lord Jesus Christ absolve you; and by His authority I absolve you from every bond ofexcommunication and interdict, so far as my power allows and your needs require. [making theSign of the Cross:] Thereupon, I absolve youof your sins in the name of the Father, and theSon, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer of Absolution

God, the Father of mercies, through the death and resurrection of His Son

has reconciled the world to Himself and sent the Holy Spirit among usfor the forgiveness of sins;Through the ministry of the Church may God give you pardon and peace,and I absolve you from your sins in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and ofthe Holy Spirit.

Prayer:Passio Domini nostri Jesu Christi, merita Beatae Mariae Virginis et omnium sanctorum, quidquidboni feceris vel mail sustinueris sint tibi in remissionem peccatorum, augmentum gratiae etpraemium vitae aeternae.

English:May the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the merits of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all thesaints obtain for you that whatever good you do or whatever evil you bear might merit for youthe remission of your sins, the increase of grace and the reward of everlasting life.

di essere amato sopra ogni cosa.

Propongo con il tuo santo aiuto di non

offenderti mai pi e di fuggire le occasioni

prossime di peccato.

Signore misericordia, perdonami.

Il Signore, che ci illumina con il suo Spirito, ti dia una vera conoscenza del tuocuore e della sua misericordia.

Dio, Padre di misericordia, che ha riconciliato a s il mondo con la morte erisurrezione del suo Figlio, e ha effuso lo Spirito Santo per la remissione deipeccati, ti conceda, mediante il ministero della Chiesa, il perdono e la pace. E io tiassolvo dai tuoi peccati nel nome del Padre e del Figlio + e dello Spirito Santo.
