• Ramón acaba de llegar a España y es nuevo en el colegio.

• Es de Senegal y ha hecho un largo viaje desde su país a España: ha atravesado el desierto y luego ha cruzado el Mar Mediterráneo en una patera.

• Ha viajado con otros inmigrantes de su país, pero no con su familia. Sus padres y sus 8 hermanos y hermanas se han quedado en Senegal, por eso vive en una residencia con otros niños.

• Ramón has just arrived in Spain and he is new at school.• He is from Senegal and he has done a long journey from his country to

Spain: he has crossed the desert and then the Mediterranean Sea in a boat.

• He has traveled with other immigrants from his country, but not with his family. His parents and his 8 brothers and sisters have stayed in Senegal, so he lives in a boarding school with other children.

• En su viaje no trajo equipaje, por tanto no tiene casi nada más que la ropa que lleva puesta.

• Sabe hablar poco español y le cuesta comunicarse, aunque le gusta mucho venir al colegio y estar en clase con todos los niños. Le gusta hacer todas las actividades del cole y quiere aprender a leer y a escribir para poder mandar cartas a su casa.

• Por eso en el patio a veces se siente sólo y no tiene con quien jugar también se pone muy triste porque algunos niños y niñas no quieren jugar con él porque su piel es muy oscura, (marrón) y su pelo negro y muy rizado.

• He did not bring any luggage, so he has nothing more than the clothes he has on.

• He can't speak Spanish very well and he has problems for communicating, however he likes going to school and being in class with other children. He enjoys doing all the school activities and he wants to learn to read and write so he can send letters to his house.

• That's why in the play ground sometimes he feels lonely and he has not friends to play with. He gets very sad when some boys and girls do not want to play with him because he has got very dark skin (it is brown) and black curly hair.

• Se siente muy apenado porque no puede estar con su familia, aunque en la residencia le tratan muy bien y le dan mucha comida que está muy buena.

• A Ramón le encanta comer bocadillos y hamburguesas, también le gusta mucho los batidos de chocolate y toda la fruta.

• Le da miedo estar solo, siempre le gusta que haya alguien cerca de él aunque no hable y siempre duerme con un peluche que le dieron cuando llegó a Almería, aunque le da vergüenza que lo sepan sus compañeros.

• Le gustaría poder tener un móvil para llamar a su familia. • Althoug in the boarding school he is well treated, he is very sorry because he can not be with his family. The best in

the boarding school is that there is a lot of delicious food. • Ramon loves to eat sandwiches and hamburgers, he also likes chocolate milkshakes and all types of fruit.

• He is afraid to be alone, he always likes to have someone closer to him even if he does not talk and he always sleeps with his teddy bear. This teddy bear was the firts thing he had when he arrived in Almería. However he is ashamed his classmates know about that.

• He would like to have a mobil phone to call his family.
