From: Zulma Garzon

Subject: Working Conditions

Good Morning Everyone,

This email addresses concerns amongst staff about possible negative effects of

XYZ Corporation’s takeover of our company on the working conditions.

Management wants to reassure staff that there is no reason to be concerned. On

the contrary, working conditions will improve going forward. For example,

i) Upper salary limit will increase to £22,000 for admin/clerical staff and

£34,000 for managers

ii) Retirement will now be open to all staff after age 56 (and not managers

only)

iii) The minimum working period for joining the pension scheme will bereduced from 18 to 12 months.

iv) Staff leave will increase to 25 days after 5 years instead of 10 years

previously.

The above clearly shows that the takeover poses no adverse effects on the

working conditions. Rather, it is expected improve the working conditions.

Thanks,

Self assessment

During the development of the fourth guide we learnt how to properly close

an oral presentation. It is important to highlight that although this stage is

sometimes disregarded, it is actually very important since a bad closing could harm

a totally good presentation since it is what the audience will remember more easily.

We also reviewed our previous knowledge about how to introduce and deliver an

oral presentation and finally, we unified all the concepts into an oral practice in

which; in addition, we socialized our research on the strategies companies use to

enter into a foreign country.

Dealing with an audience during an oral presentation is something that could result

problematic, but, with the use of the proper guidelines, all insecurities and fears

could be overcome.
