Neverwas Haul Proyecto surgido en 2006, inspirados por una instalacin gtico-victoriana en el Burning Man Festival 2005 Obtainium Works THAT STEAM MAY BE USED FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL Obtainium Works is the home base of the Hibernian Academy of UnNatural Sciences, based in Vallejo, California. Recently relocated from The Shipyard in Berkeley, it is an on-going Do It Yourself (DIY) group of tinkerers, gearheads, and steam bohemians who fabricate steam-powered art out of repurposed industrial detritus. We are loosely based on the works of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and other Victorian-era writers who created an imaginary world where steam technology was considered cutting edge and brave explorers could be propelled by gun powder to the moon!

Kinetic Steam Works Kinetic Steam Works is a group of fabricators, engineers, artists and steam enthusiasts curious about what came before the advent of petroleum power, electronics, and the automobile culture. We found machines, simple and intricate, that blurred the line between art and industry, kinetic masterpieces created during an era of diabolical innovation and gleeful invention. The steam engine embodied the ideologies, desires and dreams of its era, of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, a bright and shining future where technology was built by hand. They were the aspirational finned cars and rockets of their day. Steam power is beautiful, rhythmic, and evocative. Datamancer The story of Datamancer Enterprises begins in a cramped, one-car garage in New Jersey, where a talented young artist by the name of Richard R. Nagy began combining his interests in art, antique restoration, electronics and computers by fabricating strange and wonderful "retro-Victorian"-themed computers and peripherals. Eventually, the internet took notice and his work started to appear in publications and on websites around the globe. He began selling commissioned artwork and a few years later decided to turn his hobby into a business, moving his operation to a modest workshop in southern California.
