Inside campus ITESO there is a

grove of oaks, and at the end of

the path there is a cross. The aim

of the project was to create a

    space where people could have

    spiritual contact.

The project is very simple, sincethe horizontal space is delimited

by walls and the vertical one is

    naturally defined by treetops,

    forming a natural dome.

ing an area of downtown Guada-

    lajara, then create a program

and propose a project. It was de-

cided to design a cultural center

with a large open space where

people could have a moment of

    relaxation and rest , because

there are not places of this kindnear that area.

    The vertical columns are inspired

in the measurments of the patri-

monial building that is next to it.

    The project consisted in creating

a 3 apartment complex: one for

the client, another one for renting

to students and a last one for

sale, plus a bookshop which isowned by the client. It was pro-

posed to locate the bookshop on

the ground floor, using the slope

to give it more privacy. On the

second level is located the apart-

ment that is for sale, as it has

    direct access from the street,

which gives it an added value,

and the apartment planned torent to students is divided into

two levels for privacy that may

    exist between leasers. Finally

    the customer’s apartment is

located on the third floor to take

advantage of the views and at

the same time is divided into two

wings to create privacy betweenparents and children.
