Introduction Having in mind that technology has

become an important part in our life, it is rather relevant to involve it in the process of learning of any field of knowledge, including any language.

This portfolio is a compilation of writings and technological tools’ presentations whose purpose is that the reader have an idea of how many things can do in

the classroom when implementing the use of technology. You are going to read commentaries about CALL topics, and to see the products of using diverse tools or apps with educative purpose: LMS, Powtoon, toondoo, Spreaker, Mobile Apps, etc.I hope you like it.

Philosophy• Personally, I think the use of technology in our

classroom is not something optional, it is quite imperative for teachers and instructors to become familiar with the new technological advances we have nowadays that can enhance the process of learning, specifically the learning of a new language such as English.

• If the digital natives enjoy the use of technology in daily life, it is an opportunity that we as teachers

• to make easier the learning of any field.• Technology may foster the learning of English

because it offers a great variety of tools that can be used anywhere and anytime the learner wish. Thus, cuurently it is not necessary to be in a concrete classroom to become an expert or master any subject.

• I really believe technology is probably the best method to put into practice when teaching.

Mobile Apps• Duolingo: it is an app to learn English and

other languages. Pros: it is free. It divides the learning by levels and topics. It enhances the vocabular acquisition. It has the feature that learner can listen and interact with the app. Cons: Automated voices reading the words and phrases, it is stilted and unnatural.

• English Tenses App: Pros: it has no cost of use. It covers all the tenses in English. It offers a section for practice. Cons: You can only give feedback by clicking on answers, you cannot write your own answers. No listening or speaking skill is taken into account in the app.

• Speak English: Pros: It is a nice app that allows you to learn and practice speaking and listening skills.

• It has beginner sessions and also advanced sessions. It has pronunciation topics in which you can record your voice as well as many other subjects.

• Cons: If you want the complete version you have to pay, although you can download the free version if allowing ads on the app. Besides, the English pronunciation is British.

Final Reflection• During this course I have learned about what CALL is, its use

and implementation in our classrooms . Besides, through the different readings I had, I could go deeper into the knowledge of the discussed topics in the classroom. The discussions and instructions we had in the sessions complemented the little knowledge I already had about CALL. It covered topics since it was initiated in the 60s until its development in the modern days. Currently CALL has many varieties of uses due to the fact that the design of CALL lessons generally takes into consideration principles of language pedagogy, which may be derived from learning theories. At the beginning of the course I was a little anxious because technology sometimes can make us feel that we don’t know about its use since the great evolving it has everyday.

• New technological tools and new apps are developed everyday in the education field, so we as teachers of a new generation of digital natives must be updated, thus we can meet the needs of our students in and out the classroom.

• Now I realized that we are not only English teachers, but we must be also experts using technology. That is the future we are going to face, teaching via technological means is becoming a reality. Thus, I have learned that having technological skills is not an option but a must.

• Furthermore, I have known and learned about the use of different online educative platforms such as schoology, edmodo, and also about mobile apps which can be used with our students.

• On the other hand, I consider that TESOL teachers also have to take in consideration that technology can both assist and enhance language learning. We should allow

• Students to connect around the world via the internet, voice tools, seconf life, and so forth. The use of technology must be combined with a qualified teacher in language skills. Besides, we must be aware of our students’ skills, for example, we cannot expect our students to write entries in a blog if they don’t know how to use or create a blog using any of the current platforms.

• I don´t have any suggestion for the new course, I think it is complete. Now is our duty to continue enriching the seeds the professor has sown.

• What I really like and appreciate to have learned is the mobile apps that we can use to make our work in schools or colleges easier.
