Dear Towson Chamber Members and Friends,
Our hopes are that you and your families are doing as well as possible during these very challenging circumstances.
Your Towson Chamber has not stopped working for you and our community during the last few months and we wanted to give you an update on what we’ve been doing: • Phone Calls- Our Chamber Sta� and our Board Members have called all our member just to see how they are doing. Members were appreciative of this out-reach.• Restaurants- we are sending out weekly updates on business that are open and their hours of operation.• Streetscape Improvements- we have been working with Baltimore County on streetscape improvements for Pennsylvania and Chesapeake Avenues. • Chamber Meetings- we have installed a webinar application and will be going to virtual meeting starting Wednesday, May 20th at 8am, our normal meeting time. We are hoping to give you a construction updates around town. If you can think of any topics you would like to hear, please let me know. • Towson Chamber Executive Committee- we have been having virtual meetings to brainstorm how to best serve our members and our community. • Lunch and Learn Opportunity- we’re working on putting together webinars that would be of interest to our members. • Community Blood Drive- we are working with the Red Cross and TowsonTown Center to hold a blood drive in the near future. • Directory- we are working on the 2020- 2021 Towson Chamber Directory. Please check your company information on our website to make sure all the information is correct. •Fund Rising- �e Chamber has helped raise over $30,000 for �rst responders around Maryland and to help restaurants.• Festival and Gardens day- Both have been canceled for the year.• Feet on the Street- May concerts have been canceled. We are hoping to resume in June if the County and State allow.• Farmers Market-will be starting �ursday, June 4th . We are looking to possibly have an evening Farmers Market. We’ll keep you posted. • 4th of July Race and Parade- we have not cancelled at this time. We are working on both events and are waiting for �nal approval or denial from the County.
Please take a few minutes to go through the Newsletter. We are highlighting a lot of good things that are happening in and around Towson. Lots of our members that have been serving our Hero’s during this crisis. If we missed someone, please let us know. We will make it through, we are strong, we work together and we care about our businesses and our community. Always remember, we are #TOWSONSTRONG

Hero's Helping Hero'sA group of Mom's started the
#OneTeamOneGoal campaign toreceive donations to buy lunches anddinners for first hand responders. Inthe first two weeks CVP was able todeliver 2,700 meals to hospitals, lawenforcement and first responders.
Towson Hot Bagels wanted to show theirappreciation for hospital workers by
delivering more than 200 bagels to thestaff at Sinai Hospital. The bagels went to
everyone from the emergency roomdepartment, housekeeping, and command
center staff. THB is also offering a 50%discount to all first responders at their
locations.
The Towson University Police Departmentdelivered food and supplies to local hospitalson April 10. Seasons Pizza donated 20 pizzas
that were delivered by the TUPD. Theydelivered the pizzas to the emergency room
staffs at St. Joseph’s Medical Center andGreater Baltimore Medical Center.

Hero's Helping Hero'sThe SECU MD Foundation has
announced a Non-Profit-Support Fund.SECU is offering $2,000 grants to non-
profits serving the Marylandcommunity in response to the
pandemic.
Dr. Mark Shulman DDS and othersfrom the dentist community gatheredPPE equipment from their offices and
donated it to St. Joseph's MedicalCenter.
The Baltimore County Together isa private charitable emergency
response effort. They haveorganized weekly "pop up
markets" throughout the countyto support community members
suffering with food insecurity andsafety concerns. The markets are
held on Saturday's by sign-up only.

SECU Commits $400K in COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Linthicum-based SECU, Maryland’s largest statechartered credit union, announced a commitment
of up to $200,000 in hardship grants for its membersthrough the SECU MD Foundation and $200,000 forCOVID-19 community relief efforts. Community relief
