Como presidente de las Illes Balears, y en nombre de toda la ciudadanía, es un honor dar la bienvenida a nuestra isla a todos los participantes en la Mallorca 312. Esta prueba ciclista, la de mayor recorrido de España, permite a los deportistas vivir una experiencia inolvidable tanto por su kilometraje y espíritu no competitivo como por los bellos lugares por los que discurre.

La isla de Mallorca es reconocida internacionalmente como un lugar privilegiado para la práctica del ciclismo. A la belleza de sus paisajes y la benevolencia del clima, se une una red de servicios especializados que se adapta a las necesidades concretas de los deportistas, ofreciéndoles todas las atenciones para su bienestar y comodidad y facilitándoles aunar deporte y turismo. Además, iniciativas como la Mallorca 312 fomentan la práctica del ciclismo y contribuyen a la promoción de las Islas Baleares como destino ineludible para los amantes de este deporte.

Por ello, quiero agradecer a los organizadores de la Mallorca 312 el excelente trabajo realizado para convertir esta prueba en una cita indispensable en el calendario ciclista y atraer cada año a más participantes. Estoy convencido de que la Mallorca 312 de 2015 será un nuevo éxito de participación y público.

Finalmente, quiero desear a todos los que nos visitan con motivo de la celebración de esta prueba que disfruten de nuestra variada oferta gastronómica, cultural y lúdica y, sobre todo, del placer de recorrer Mallorca en bicicleta.

As president of the Balearic Islands and on behalf of all citizens, it is an honour to welcome all participants of the Mallorca312 to our island. This cyclosportive, the longest one in Spain, allows all riders to have an unforgettable experience because of its non-competitive spirit, the beautiful places it passes along and the distance. The island of Mallorca is internationally well-known as a prime location for cycling. The beauty of its landscapes, its mild climate, and the good network of specialized services tailored to the specific needs of cyclists all contribute to the their comfort, helping them to combine sport and tourism. In addition, initiatives such as the Mallorca312 promote cycling as well as the Balearic Islands as a perfect destination for lovers of this sport. So I want to thank the organizers of the Mallorca312 for their excellent work, which has made this event a must do in the international cycling calendar and attracts more participants year after year. Y VAn SeiS! iT’S AlreADY The SixT!hace seis años comenzamos juntos esta andadura que muchos tildaron de locura. nacía la Mallorca 312, el desafío de dar la vuelta completa a la isla a través de 312 kilómetros en un máximo de 14 horas. el tiempo ha probado nuestra cordura... ¡o la locura de muchos más! Seis ediciones más tarde de aquella que comenzó con 199 participantes frente a las puertas del hotel iberostar playa de Muro, serán 3000 cicloturistas venidos de todas partes del mundo los que se sumen al reto.

Cuando comenzamos lo hacíamos con la certeza de contar con los ingredientes clave para alcanzar el éxito: un escenario ideal para el cicloturista, la isla de Mallorca, la mejor oferta de sol, playa y ocio, buena gastronomía y la mejor atención en el hotel iberostar playa de Muro. para todos supone un reto el incremento notable de la participación cada año. la organización debe lidiar para que no falte de nada a todos y cada uno de los participantes, además de dar respuesta a la cada vez mayor demanda de la prensa nacional e internacional y dar la mejor bienvenida a los patrocinadores. por su parte, el hotel iberostar playa de Muro no ceja en su empeño de situarse como uno de los hoteles líderes en especialización para el cicloturista, con todo tipo de servicios y atenciones. Six years ago, we started together this journey and many thought we were mad. The Mallorca312 was born, the challenge of completing the whole lap around the island, 312 kilometers, in at most 14 hours. Time has proven that we are not mad. Five years after the first one, where 199 participants were at the start in front of the the Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro, 3,000 cyclists from all over the world will tackle the challenge this time. As we started, we were certain to have the key ingredients for success: Mallorca, the ideal scenario for cyclists, the tourist offer, good food and the best service at the Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro. The increase in the number of participants year after year poses a challenge to all. The organisers must guarantee that all participants have everything they need, they have to attend an increasing number of national and international journalists and they have to give the best welcome to the sponsors. For its part, the Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro continues to position itself as one of the leading hotels for cycle tourists, with all kinds of services and amenities. We all walk in the same direction: to provide the best experience to all participants and promote cycling on the island. la organización de Mallorca312 - Giant - Taiwan es consciente de los problemas locales y globales, un afán que nos ha llevado a participar en diferentes iniciativas y colaboraciones desde la primera edición. este año continuamos con el compromiso solidario iniciado en el 2013 con UniCeF y sumamos con protección Civil de las islas Baleares otra causa a la que contribuir.

UniCeF es un programa de la onU que se creó en 1946 y cuya misión desde aquel entonces es garantizar que se cumplan los derechos de los niños a la salud, la educación y la protección en todo el mundo para conseguir cambios reales en sus vidas.la Mallorca312 destina una parte de las inscripciones a UniCeF y a protección Civil de las illes Balears, cuyos miembros hacen que sea posible el evento con su trabajo voluntario. Durante el proceso de inscripción, los participantes pueden realizar una donación adicional si lo desean.

el compromiso de la Mallorca312 no acaba aquí. Desde el 2014 contamos con la colaboración de Ferromolins, empresa especialista en reciclaje, encargada de la gestión y el tratamiento de los residuos de la Mallorca312 para minimizar el impacto ambiental del evento.

The Mallorca312 - Giant - Taiwan is aware of the local and global problems. This desire has led us to collaborate with different initiatives since the first edition. This year, we continue with our commitment to UNICEF and we add a new cause with the Civil Protection of the Balearic Islands.

The United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF), created in 1946, provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.The Mallorca312 donates part of the registration fee to UNICEF and Civil Protection of the Balearic Islands, whose volunteer work makes the event possible. During the registration process, those participants who wish can make an additional donation.

The commitment of the Mallorca312 does not end here. Since 2014 we cooperate with Ferromolins, one of the pioneering companies in the recovery sector. They are in charge of the separate collection and treatment of waste, in order to minimize the ecological impact of the event.

la Mallorca312 es una prueba exigente, tanto para el corredor como para la bicicleta. no olvides repasar el buen estado de tu máquina los días previos al evento.

Se recuerda a todos los participantes que la Mallorca312 contará con el grupo de los maillots verdes, ciclistas especialistas en motivación y pruebas deportivas de ultra-resistencia que marcarán el ritmo y tirarán del grupo para completar la vuelta en 14 horas, tiempo máximo establecido por la organización.

Tras recorrer el primer tramo de 26

km de forma agrupada, cada corredor podrá seguir a su ritmo durante el resto de la prueba estando obligado a respetar la ley de Seguridad Vial.

The Mallorca 312 is a demanding event for both the cyclist and the bicycle. Do not forget to check your bike in the days before the event.

All participants are reminded that there will be the ‘group with the green-dotted jerseys’ consisting of riders specialists in motivation and ultra-endurance competitions. They will set the pace required to finish the cyclosportive in 14 hours, this is the time limit established by the organization to complete the distance.

After riding the first 26 km together in the peloton, each cyclist can ride

at his/her own pace, always following the traffic rules.

We recommend you to download the App My112. In case of emergency, the application allows you to communicate with the 112 Emergency Centre by sending your current position to the

Los maillots de puntos verdes marcan el ritmo para llegar a la meta en 14 horas, el tiempo máximo para completar la ruta. Si te fla-quean las fuerzas, únete a ellos y te ayudarán a superar el reto.

Te recomendamos participar en la Mallorca312 llevando puesto el maillot oficial de la prueba para facilitar que los cuerpos de se-guridad y los voluntarios te puedan identificar sin dificultad como participante durante el recorrido y los puntos de avituallamiento. Es obligatorio que coloques la placa con tu núme-ro en la parte delantera del manillar de forma visible y sin recortar. Utiliza las bridas que en-contrarás en este sobre.

1. Fija la placa con tu número en el manillar de la bicicleta.

2. En el tramo inicial de 26 kilómetros el pelotón rodará neutraliza-do. Es obligatorio rodar por el carril derecho de la calzada.

3. Atención a los tramos peligrosos debidamente señalizados por la organización. The international awareness of the Mallorca312 – Giant – Taiwan has not gone unnoticed by the tour operators. For them, the cyclosportive is an important product to attract more clients to Mallorca, where they can practice their favourite sport.

In this sixth edition, the most important cycle tourism companies have joined the cyclosportive and have organised the trip and accommodation of their participants at the Mallorca312 – Giant – Taiwan.

Data obtained last year in a study made with the cooperation of the University of the Balearic Islands, underline the economic impact of the event:

The number of participants of the Mallorca312 – Giant – Taiwan has increased year after year, and 3,200 riders will be at the start this year. This success has not gone unnoticed by the specialist publications, and in the lasts years many have published reports about the event. All these media remark the good atmosphere, the good organisation and the potential of the cyclosportive.

The British newspaper The Telegraph reported that the Mallorca312 is the second best cyclosportive to participate in 2015 and Global Cycling Network, the reference road cycling channel, said it is the the sixth best cyclosportive in the world. The local and national media report often about anything related to the event.

Every year around November, Taiwan hosts the Taiwan Cycling Festival bringing together cycling fans of every level: professionals, amateurs and families.

The KOM challenge is the main event of the Taiwan Cycling Festival: 105 km and 3275 metres in altitude to the summit of Mount Wuling.

Its uniqueness: an ascent of 80 km!

Accompanied by beautiful mountains and water scenery, bicycle enthusiasts from around the world can come on a pilgrimage and are provided a varied and rich recreational cycling experience, making the riding of the “iron horse” no longer a simple exercise but rather the perfect experience in body and soul.
