I. When writing large numbers, take place value like a math problem. For example, take the thousands place, hundreds place, tens place, ones place and write out and only place the and (y) between the tens and ones place.

Tener = to have• Tener is a verb in Spanish that means to
have and it is used with age because in Spanish we say that someone has so many years old instead of is…years old.
• Tener has to be changed with the subject (person) of the sentence to say who is so many years old. There are 5 different forms of Tener to use to express ages.
Pronombres (pronouns)
• In Spanish a pronoun replaces a person’s name. There are 9 pronouns we use:

Yo = I nosotros = we
Tú = you (familiar)
Él = he ellos = them (m)
Ella = she ellas = them (f)
