Tehuacn-Cuicatln, located in the southeastern

part of the state of Puebla and Oaxaca state

northeast, is part of the Mexican xerophyticregion. The Tehuacn Valley-Cuicatln, despite

being located in two states and be of great

extension, constitutes a single biogeographic unit

of global significance mainly due to the wide range

of species hhitas and wildlife representative of

national biodiversity, including some of the latter

in the categories endemic, threatened and

endangered species.
